Cisse: I did hit boy, 15 Oct 20 2005
EXCLUSIVE by James Glover, Liverpool Echo
LIVERPOOL soccer star Djibril Cisse has admitted assaulting a teenage boy who teased him in a London park.
Story continues
The striker was filming an advert in the public park in East London when he hit 15-year-old Bobby Trouliss twice on the head after the boy pulled a prank on him.
Now the footballer has accepted a police caution after he went to a police station in the capital to be questioned.
Officers from the Metropolitan police were contacted after the teenager claimed he was attacked after mocking the footballer after the filming of an advert featuring a mock England v France match in a park in Broomfield Road, East London, on September 30.
After the incident the youth, an Arsenal fan, alleged: "I went up to Cisse after the match and went to shake his hand, but then pulled my hand away as a joke and put my thumb on my nose and wiggled my fingers.
"He didn't see the funny side and lunged towards me. He hit me hard on the side of my head."
The teenager also claimed the footballer, who lives in Frodsham, Cheshire, and owns of the title of Lord of the Manor, had to be dragged away by security guards and continued shouting: "Come on, I want to fight you."
Cisse, 24, who scored Liverpool's goal in their 1-0 Champions League win in Anderlecht yesterday, arrived back in Britain and then went today to speak to police about the allegation.
A Metropolitan police spokeswoman said: "A man in his 20s went to an East London police station by appointment in connection with an alleged assault on a 15-year-old boy.
"He was cautioned for common assault."
