Cisse,morro and crouch - Couldn't hit a barn door!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby welsh wizzard » Sat Oct 15, 2005 6:22 pm

These 3 strikers are not doing the buisness, and its worrying.
Cisse he scored but still doesn't give me confidence he had another poor game and missed a few chances.

Morientes well two sitters from 9 yards, need i say more. I know he has been out but i just don't feel he has what it takes to play in premiership. I don't think he has the stomach to do well in this league.

Then there's crouch the gentle giant, still hasn't scored and not likely to unless he takes some pills that will give him some agression, he needs to put himself about a bit like a ferguson or a hartson, and attack balls in the box and make them his he plays more like a girls blouse.

We got out of jail today, had another poor performance and what makes it worse was that we were at home. We are not attacking teams even today they go down to 10 men, and we look clueless in how to break them down no width whats so ever. I can't wait until january we need two new strikers and some width on the right wing, morrientes and cisse can go for all i care.

This team is so negative and the way we are playing is not the liverpool way. Kenny dalglish was pictured in the crowd today and his face said it all. He must be thinking whats happened to the pass and move attacking flare this massive team once apon a time had. I hope it improves but not until after January when a few players will hopefully give us the skill thats needed until then, grin and bear it i suppose.

Cisse has 8 goals for us and 3 for France already this season without being a regular starter so he obviously isn't doing the business.

Watch Thierry Henry and RVN in games. They could miss 3 or 4 chances before scoring.

Keeping missing the barndoor Djbril! :D

It seems a little odd to me all this negativity, particularly regarding Cisse. He plays in his proper position for the first time in a month. He scores the winner with 15 minutes left, a massive win for us given our start. In doing so we don't lose any ground on Man U, Spurs or Chelsea and gain 3 points on Arsenal so we slag off the team and Cisse? It's been International fortnight, we are low on confidence, we are without our captain and best player, we are playing the team that turned over the Buccaneers at home a couple of weeks ago and we don't play well. But we win, and that'll do for me thanks very much. Cisse? he scores the winner and likewise, that'll do for me.

I don't know what some people seem to expect from Cisse.I think given a run in the team and when he gets his confidence back he could be devasting, the one of the things i like about him is the fact that he never hides after missing a chance and keeps getting in the right positions. He scored the winner and we got three points which is an improvement on most of whats happened in the league this season.

I must add thats 2 points we dropped last season. And nearly every game we have drawn this season we lost last. I can see us winning some of the games we lost last season aswell. I think we will have a extra 15 points more than last season at least. Thats all Rafa can do, keep improving.

I'm getting tired of this. People complain when we win, lose or draw. So Morientes missed two sitters today. I've seen Owen missed loads and loads of chances for long periods of the season but only to come back and score every other game.

We should all be celebrating the fact that a:)we've picked up 3 points in a game that we've struggled in (in the past we would have probably gone negative in the lastfew minutes to protect a point) these have always been the games that we have been inconsistant with, so taking 3 points is a big big plus point; b:)cisse has come back into the team a put the ball into the back of the net for the winning goal and Morientes has gotten himself into positions to miss some clear cut opportunities, okay he hasn't scored but he is coming back from injury and as long as a player is getting himself into positions to score from the law of averages says that one is eventually going to go in.

Its my opinion so :censored: you. Cisse will be gone in January he scores a goal and once again he is great, I'm glad we won but with cisse and morientes we won't be scoring lots of goals. So we will be holding out for stevie and garcia to chip in with the same amount, cause cisse and morro won't get many more than 10.

RVN, and henry will miss the odd few but they will still get 20 goals this season, so there you go we are still waiting for a goal machine and when cisse goes in january we might just bring him in kuijt we need your services. I know it and raffa knows it.   :rasp

How did you work out that theory genius? Cisse already has 8 goals. Morientes has missed most of the Premiership games due to injury.

Kuyt could be a failure, just like any player outside the Premiership. Don't automatically assume that he would solve our problems up front because he scores goals for Feyenoord in the Dutch league.

last season Man Utd had a problem with the end product, which is something we're having to deal with now. It can be sorted out and it will be sorted out.
