I wish we'd got Duff when we had the chance instead of gh going for the senegal boys. Still annoys me.

I think he means.. reallistically, we may get 4th.

Realistically we have no chance of 2nd place
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Whys that then ?
United are far from convincing and Arsenal are great at home, but dropping points away.
I mentioned in my previous post that we have already had better league results in 4 of our games this season.
I am not one of these blindly biased fans who think we are the best team in the world there is alot of room for improvement, but we are improving all the time under Rafa and we will imo be pushing for 2nd.

Face the truth. Yes we did lose to the unbeatable yesterday but today we're still the same,we are Reds. It's quite sad to saw that they make Anfield as their ground when the match ended with frustration. The most hated things was after Lampard score the penalty and pose to silent all the Liverpudlians.

Traore and Hyypia make the mistakes which unforgiven and they have turn all of our efforts into wastage. Keep the positive things. They're just a two-season wonder,

You'll Never Walk Alone.

p/s: Crouch is a potential player for us. He had control the air and he has good footwork despite he's tall.

I have always said that I do't expect anything more than 4th... 3rd if we are lucky.  We are still not as good as Man Utd or Arsenal, although the gap maybe smaller as if anything they are both weaker than last year.

At the end of the day, to win games you have to score goals and we don't look like scoring against anyone at the moment.

It is early days yet, so I am still hopeful that we can start scoring and put a winning run together, but things have to improve quickly before we fall to far behind.

We currently have only 4 points more than Everton and a game in hand, and they are bottom of the league...  scary!!!  So with this form I think it is un-realistic that we will get 2nd

Ace , on our current Prem form we will be scrapping to finish in the top 5 . There are a cluthch of clubs who will be pushing all the way to a CL spot (Spurs ,Charlton, Bolton etc) to suggest that those aside, the evidence of what we have seen so far this season convinces you  we are going to finish ahead of everyone except the eventual champions is just so wildly optomistic it cracks me up .

I'm laughing at your "realistic" observation that we could finish 2nd . Thats not to put you down by the way , I  love your optomism, I just found the conjuction of the words "Realistically, We (lfc ) and 2nd " so hopelessly unrealistic that I burst out laughing

:D

Agreed the form isn't good but you really should take into account the fixtures.
We have played the so called best 2 in the league at home...they were always going to be tough other than that we have had one other home game and won it.
Away from home we have looked far more solid...and deserved more than the point we got at Boro...which is a point more than we managed last year.
We also should of won at Birmingham....a game were we were awful last season and got nothing.
I know its ifs and buts and things aren't perfect, but they are far from terrible either.
With a lit bit more of an attacking line up in the next few games i am certain that the points will come.

We're good as well as all the team. but currently we can't even find a goal scorer or target man up front. We had a good game against MU,boro and tottenham. maybe we just can't find our playes wearing their boot.

Goals just a matter of time.

and who's knew Greece can the euro champion. Don't underestimate something which we will never know how the future is going to happen.

Hey, I agree.. its not all doom and gloom, some of the football we are playing is good, BUT all I am saying is we are not the second best team in the Premier League.  In fact we are not the third  best team either.

Its hard for me, I think I am probably older than a lot of people on this forum coz I remember going to STAND in the Kop and watch fast attacking football, Passing to the nearest red shirt and moving forward as a unit.  Sometimes it depresses me to see players giving the ball away cheaply and playing one guy up front on his own at home.

Hey its been a depressing weekend.. I'll get over it!!

Hey its been a depressing weekend.. I'll get over it!!

Yesterday was a horrible day for us all watching fat frank gloating on our pitch.
We played well first half then fell behind to a really classy goal right before half time.
They picked us off when we were chasing the game and won by a scoreline that didn't reflect the game.
They obviously deserved the win, but never by that margin.
But we will be back, there will be some wounded pride because of the scoreline and i am sure we will see a different Liverpool in our next game.
We arent the 2nd or 3rd best team at the moment, but i am confident things will change for the better.

There is only a BEST team in EPL from now being and i can sure it's not us. but i can't find that the meaning of second and third best team as well because only 1 'BEST' team.

We're a GOOD team but not the BEST team and we just lost to the so-called 'BEST' with the 'BEST' manager in EPL.

That's totally suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

We left it far too late to much dithering and not enough encouragement from the board room, now we are paying for the indecisive dithering of messers moores/parry? its gonna be another "also ran season" if we dont put this right in january. Too many of our fans have been getting carried away with our CL victory in Instanbul, the harsh reality is we have not moved that far forward since then, the prem is a whole different ball game, it is the "yard stick of great teams" it has always been our number 1 priority and should be so.  :nod

This is exactly how i feel. After the CL we had the chance to attract some big name players to the club. Instead we haven't made any major signings and i feel an opourtunity may have been lost. If we are struggling at Christmas time it is going to be very difficult for us to attract the likes of Joaquin.
