Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

A.B. you could not even possibly know how we feel, in your wildest dreams, the bitters are bottom celebrations for the red half of merseyside tonight so we thought.
All laughing at the best team on Merseyside few snarlers in town tonight hey, looking forward to beating Chelsea or atleast getting a bloody draw, but no we got battered and the manager totally stunned every Liverpool fan with his subs, dont question my loyalty A.B. and what Ive said in the past cause right now after todays result every Liverpool fan on Liverpool there heart has been torn out.

Who the hell is questioning your loyalty? Don't try to twist my words around. I didn't say anything about your fecking loyalty towards the club.

You see its more than football its about pride from the north and the south and we where the best footballing greats from the north and it went to the south, then back to the north, ahhhhhhhh f@ck it you would'nt understand it anyway.
Just dont follow up my posts with but you said a draw wasnt good enough bla bla, believe me we would have bit Chelseas  hand off today for a draw.
So dont get involved in things you dont know about.

You seem to think that because I'm not in Liverpool that I can't feel like a sh1t after we get walked over at home.

Who says that I wouldn't had like a point rather than getting beat 4-1? You were complaining about how we played for a draw in our last couple of games and today when we played for a win and failed you go on about how Benitez should had played for a draw.

You can't have it both ways.

You replied to my post in this topic with well you stuck up for Luis in the other topic and said a draw isnt good enough in the other topic, my point is why bring up my other posts in this topic when today was a total failure and Rafa got everything wrong, cant you just say yer rafa got everything wrong? and not just say well you said bla bla..............?
Thatas why I say you cannot possibly know how I am feeling now cause I am not quoting anyone just my own feelings.

Absolutely gutted,I really did think we'd win today, but for those who are calling for Rafa's head all I'll say is F*** OFF AND SUPPORT CHEATSKI!!!

That said, whatever formation Rafa uses from now onwards I hope it's x-x-2,i.e two strikers Cisse & Crouch.
To be fair I thought the big fella played OK today but when he's upfront by himself he's nowhere near as effective, also Troare was shocking-no doubt Warnock will get more of a run, sooner rather than later.

But what amazed me was when Maureenio STILL mentioned how we didn't beat them in last season's CL,you snidey t***!!!

The last time we got beat at Anfield on this scoreline was by  Chesterfield in the league cup in 1992?
Facking disgrace  :kungfu:

I agree with CIGGY. The first time that rafa really needs to take the blame. OK, Djimi's had a nightmare, we get back in it and go to sleep again. 2-1 chasing the game, but rafa waited far too long to change the personnel and more importantly the system!

Rafa's system of 4-5-1 works great away from home and in europe, but in the prem at home and at the poorer away teams it doesn't work. We can't force the game on teams with this style we have to wait for them to make a mistake. When we are chasing a deficit, we look so easily read. At the match today and the usual :censored: coming from people around me centres around Crouch, Garcia and unbelievably Alonso.

Crouch imo, can be a great signing with the right sevice and back up play. He causes many problems for defenders. Its just that we aren't supporting the lads hold up play.

Garcia, again getting a lot of flack, but the lad can do great things but at the moment he's not in his preferred position and is being far too regimented in playing in the one position. He is a freedom player.

Alonso, this one is hurting me more than anything else. Xabi at 3-1 down today was asking for the ball all the time, and looking to produce something. But because we are lacking movement in front of him, the lad is having to hit his passes directly to the player intended. Xabi is at his best playing a pass through or over the oppositions defence. He cant do that because we just don't gamble on the ball past the defence.

We all know what rafa wants but imo was badly let down in the transfer market. We must live with the personnel we have and hope we are doing alright so we can have a good second half and get cl football again next year, if we don't win it again!

A new RM, CB is what rafa has publicly stated and any more performances from sami like that is only speeding up the inevitable. But i honestly think that we need a new striker aswell to work with crouch against the smaller teams and teams at home.

I know most of you are :censored: off! But to use an old quote "In Rafa We Trust" :D :D :D

phil read the thread. Im annoyed at the current form but if you dont have trust in what he's doing then we become like madrid. We dont want a revolving door at Anfield. We never walk alone my friend.

Hi everyone,

I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago basically saying that we need investment and the bench mark is Chelsea. I'm not hear to tell you all that I told you so! I respect all your views whether I agree with your views or not! We are all very disappointed and we could go on all night about the formations, tactics and who should be playing and who should not!

Personally, I think we have got the right manager for the job.
I also think that we have a good squad of players, but we must sell the weak links for example Traore, Hyppia etc when the summer comes. I would also include Garcia and Riise in that bunch.

I think that todays result is a blessing in disguise. If the board and management are happy to settle for second place every season well they clearly need to have a re-think and fast. Today is a wake up call for everyone associated with LFC, and I mean everyone. We need solid investment in to the club whether we like it or not. We are already 17 pts behind Chelsea and they are the team to beat. It's that simple! We would all love to be bringing players through the youth system and the academy etc, but those days are slowly coming to an end if people want instant success. We will all give Rafa time as that is the least he derserves, however, we all know that  at best we are a top four team in the EPL.

How many saves did Cech have to make today? Not many and we were the home team with almost a fully fit squad! We don't need to hit the panic button just yet, but we have got to improve and fast. As European Champions and being Liverpool FC the board have a decision to make. That is we stay as we and, look for a top four place for the next few seasons or we invest in world class Liverpool type players who are going to win us games. If, the club continues with the present situation we must be realistic and expect to finish behind the top three and hope we pick up a trophy along the way. How that way of thinking fits in with Rafas, only time will tell? Stevie G said at the start of the season that he hoped that the club could close the gap of 37pts and the way we playing at the moment the gap or gulf will only get wider.

Your thoughts!

sorry.....ok take your point........you can imagine how emotional i feel at the moment. If we had beaten Birmingham, middlesbrough etc etc .....i could sit here and say we have just been beaten 4-1 by a team thats cost 200m........but our entire league campaign with 2 hard games in hand is bloody awful and we are 4 points from bottom and i,m not happy.

Sometimes ya just have to hold yer hands up and say ..well done. They were too good for us today and altho we matched them in some ways in midfield, their class was evident in defence and going forward.
Someone said they have the best defence theyve ever seen and i would have to agree with that certainly better than george grahams arsenal and on a par with milans 89. They only had a handful of chances and took them all.. what can ya do about that? Theyve class in every position,I know rafa said he didnt want stars at anfield -he wanted a good team, but what happens when ya come up against a good team of stars?
We just had no idea in the last 3rd,Garcia ffs wreck that system the fans dont want it and i dont think the players do either. Its just hard to take. That b@stard andy gray and then neville at half time "oh i think chelsea will go on and score more" AND MOURINHO ???? :censored: YOU MAUREEN !!!!whackkkk!! I couldnt believe his celebrations. pure hatred                   The lamb will return...as the LION!
