I reckon it will be a close affair and therefore I think it will be a one goal game with Gerrard scoring it as he may feel he has something to prove after being left out against Betis.   :eyebrow

Listen peeps.

Manhattan has talked to Rafa and we've worked out a winning strategy to beat those Manchesters.

Basically it involves all the Liverpool fans trying to wind up Wayne Burberry by chanting "Colleen Is A Slag".

He gets angry, he punches someone, gets sent off.

Liverpool win.

Does anyone on here trawl any of the manure forums? It'd be interesting to guage how they're feeling about the game, there's a lot of ebullient confidence on here, I wonder if that is mirrored by an equal measure of pessimism on their sites?

I'll go for 1-0, Gerrard midway through the 1st half

Pablo you to'sser, show a bit of respect for our most consistent defender over the last 5 years.

He's been one of our best value buys EVER, make no mistake.  Yeah he's slowing down and yes he was at fault recently for the Betis goal but the guy has been top class for us and bad-mouthing him like you did is totally out of order.

I don't give a :censored: what people say about him needing replaced, he is still quality imo.  He doesn't have 50 games a season in him anymore, but he'd still be one of my first names on the teamsheet.  He'll be crucial for us against the scum on sunday.

definitely, he may be past his best but he is still one of the best defenders in the league and one whose cool head could prove invaluable on Sunday

Call me a pessimist if you must but with NO Goals conceded by either team in the Prem this season I'm going for a 0-0 draw but I'm not 4th in the prediction league for nothing :D

The amount of Sami-bashing that goes on around here is criminal Woolly.

People crawl up Carragher's hole on this forum (and I agree the guy was immense last season), but central defence is a partnership and if your partner is sh'it then it makes you look like sh'it, so Sami must be doing something right.

He gets caught out for pace these days, but his experience is invaluable and imo he is the best defender in the premiership aerially, and I include Terry, Ferdinand, Campbell and all those boys in this.  People would do well to remember how much we've relied on this guy in recent years.  You can count on one hand the games he's missed for us due to injury/suspension in that time also.

Well you get carried away with the euphoria if you must......

I'll be as relieved as  a Pig at a Jewish wedding if I'm wrong and we go on to win though.

P.S. Where are you in the Prediction league Wooly ?  :D

i'm not even in the prediction league :D  anyway I'd hardly call 1-0 wildly euphoric optimism   personally i'd be perfectly happy with a dodgy penalty in the 96th minute, i don't care how we beat them as long as we do

They wouldn't let you in then ?  :D

To be truthful though I'm getting carried away with it all to be honest and I feel really confidant about the fixture. This not scoring or conceding has to end sometime so maybe for a change the game will live up to all the pre match hype and be a cracker  :wwww
