Great news - Diao's back!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Salif Diao is back in training after a calf injury sustained during the African Nations Cup (Hooray, i hear you all shouting).
Diao hopes to be available for selection for the Blackburn game next Sunday.

"I have some good news to report on the injury front at last," Diao told his official Icons website.

"Following some intensive treatment on my calf injury, I returned to training last Monday and hope to be back in first team action in about a weeks' time.

I've spent some time with muscle specialist Philippe Boixel in Paris, he's the guy who works with the French national team and Arsenal, and he has helped tremendously.

I feel good and I've had no reaction to the injury since I stepped up my training programme.

"Unfortunately, our Uefa Cup game in Marseille on Thursday night came round too soon for me but I should be back soon." (Thank god for that)

so its not all doom and gloom, Diao's back
:D

If only he would've been fully fit from the begining of the season instead of that awfull Gerrard - we would then surely be challenging for the title!!!!!!!!!!!!!
