Im' telling you he WOULD NOT SAY THIS, it's 100%.
It would be like Michael Owen saying, "I am Michael Owen and I am the best striker in world, at Newcastle I will show everyone that I am better than Ronaldinho and Shevchenko.
Now tell me, even though you are not Michael Owen's best mate, you KNOW for sure he wouldn't say this right?
I am telling you, I know this player very well, he always comes accross as being quite HUMBLE and sincere, I watch Spanish TV all of the time, I know the league 100% and I know most of the players too, and there is NO CHANCE Joaquín would say some of that trash.
The most he would say is that he wants to go to Madrid or Liverpool, but in Spain, players openly say these things all of the time, but they are still supported by the fans even though they openly express a desire to go to a bigger club.
Honestly, it's silly that people automatically believe everything they read

Fact is, we'd probably be out-bid by either Real or Barce. The scum and chelski would probably get involved in a bidding war also if he became available (even though they're coming down with wingers already).
In a bidding war Joaquin would cost closer to 30mil than 20, we can't afford that imo
To be honest Chelsea Forever most of our Spanish contingent with the exception of Morientes have fit in perfectly. Alsonso was named best passer in the premiership last season, and well you know what Garcia did.
I think Joaquin will be a welcomed aqquisition if he does come. Yes the EPL may be more physical but when your a winger you dont have to generally be a tough nut to get past people. Look at C Ronaldo for instance, hes not a physical player but he can shoot up and down the wings all day long. We have more physical players now in the cenre where it is required like Sissoko and that has i think help to improve our away form so far.
Chelsea forever. wrote:You cant really compare Joaquin to Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a winger, but he is also a wizzard. He is one player who has so many tricks in his bag that its difficult to judge what he is going to do next. He is one of the few players in the world who can take on the entire team and probably even nutmeg the keeper. IMO he is one his way to become the best player in the world. Joaquin doesnt have those tricks in him. He is a good winger just like Duff is a good winger. But they dont have the magic that Ronaldo or Ronaldhino have. He will be a good addition, but dont expect him to produce magic each game.

I see some people here are ok with the club spending 21M on him. Looks like we have some big spenders along with ourselves

I disagree, Joaquín has TONS of tricks, and for those of you that don't watch Spanish football, remember that stunning piece of skill he produced against Ashley Cole against England a year ago? well he does lots of things like that all of the time....
I agree, he doesn't have as MUCH trickery as Cristiano, but he's just as fast, stronger, with an equally good if not better shot, and equally good if not better crossing ability.
I think they are about even in terms of overall quality.

That was not a stunning piece of skill, he just put the ball between Cole's legs at the touchline behind the goal and ran into the box - a good move but something even Kewell can do.I agree, he doesn't have as MUCH trickery as Cristiano, but he's just as fast, stronger, with an equally good if not better shot, and equally good if not better crossing ability.

Joaquin cannot do what Ronaldo can. He is a good player and he has tricks, he is fast and has a shot, he will be a good buy and is a potental world star. But I still have question marks on him and I still say he isnt as good as Ronaldo.
Oh come on, now you're being silly, I can also say that Kewell can also do ALL of the namby pamby stuff that Ronaldo does
Lets not get silly now that was a great piece of skill, or don't you remember it properly?
This is a matter of opinion anyway, and I am right.
I think they're about even.

I cannot fathom how you can call them equal.
Yes it is a matter of opinion, but that doesnt mean you are right. It only means you choose to believe your opinion as it gives you happiness. Your opinion might not be right, it might not be right according to me and it might not be right in the real world. So in my opinion your opinion is wrong but I accept it as you are entitled to your opinion. I stll stand by my opinion and confirm that Joquin cannot produce the magic that Ronaldo so effortlessly does.
Sorry, but thats just my opinion.
