Rooney is for sure one of those guys who is quicker than he looks. FWIW I think most people on the forum think he is a fantastic footballer if a bit of a div on occasions.
However despite what some stats might say, to suggest he is quicker than Owen and god forbid Cisse, is laughable. A better player than Owen or Cisse? it's a no brainer much as it pains me to admit it. But faster? Give over. You'll be telling us that Darren Fletcher is a more accurate passer of a football than Xabi Alonso next.

RTR will probs show you stats that fletcher is a more accurate passer than alonso as all fletchers passes are only within 10 yards

I did not say i came up with all that myself, its actually from an article by Pro-zone, (ok i changed Shearers name to Cisse)
but the analysis still shows that over a distance Rooney is faster than Owen and i would probably say Cisse, only decent player faster up front is Henry.

You seriously think that Rooney is quicker over a long distance than Cisse ?
He may be quicker than Owen now...i wouldnt doubt that, MO has lost alot of the pace he had in his early years and Rooney is deceptively quick, but Cisse is lightning quick and would give Rooney a couple of yards start and pass him...IMO !
