We've made the point about Owen before - he's not thatskillful, he just finishes well. He'll get on the end of a pass and if he's through on goal he'll keep his nerve usually score. Cisse is still a bit jittery I think, hence the reason he'll often wallop the ball. I'm glad we've got Cisse though, because Owen's greatest attribute was his pace. Now thats faded a little he's still deadly, but not lethal. Cisse has the potential, if he can take his time a little more when he has a chance, to become a LFC Legend. (And who would you rather take a penalty?)

if owen is such a world class player,how come chelsea, arsenal, and the manc's,have shown so little interest.perhap's the manager's of the so called top three,have seen what i have known for year's.when you play with owen in your team,you are effectivley playing with ten men.owen dosen't play for the team he play's for,micheal owen play's for himself.his distribution is woefull,he hang's on to the shoulder of the last defender waiting for the ball over the top or played between the center halfs.when was the last time you saw him take a player on, beat him and score a goal ?.he contributes nothing to the team,he's nothing more than a goal hanger.

I really like cisse and we should all get behind him. He did a fab job getting back for us last year and he has already scored half as many goals as Baroooos did last year, check your calander it is Sept!!!

Cissé scored twice for france in the internationals, and the 3rd one was his shot that got deflected. Sissoko and Morientes also netted for their countries.
