Jari - is it time for a return ? - Litmanen to leave ajax

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Leonmc0708 » Mon Mar 29, 2004 1:51 pm

Jari Litmanen is set to leave Dutch giants Ajax after the club revealed they would not be renewing his contract in the summer.
The Finnish legend has struggled with injuries all season and it is the physical problems that have led to Ajax's decision.
"We deplore this decision but unfortunately due to physical problems he was not able to bring what everyone had hoped for," said Ajax chief Arie van Eijden.

Is this a great opportunity to bring in some truly World Class tution for our seriously under acheiving players to learn some REAL skills and improve their game.

Comments please guys ....................................................

We certainly could do with Jari's composure and creativity right now but Houllier will never take him back.

Diggers Gran, that is why Houllier must leave in the same transaction. Stubborn is not the trait of top managers.

I'd take him back in a coaching role but not as a player!!! He's way past his best.

Jari would be great back at Anfield but it'll never happen, certainly not with GH still at the helm. Also as much as I rate Litmanen the injury problems don't bode well for a guy of his age and we could do without £40k per week going on an injured player

Wrong end of the stick here guys.

Only meant take Jari as a coach/trainer. Not as a player, he's finished with 1st team football now....

He'd never come back while Houllier is in charge after he shat all over him would he?

Your missing the point seany. He's carrying an injury. He'd only be back as a coach. Not that any of this will ever happen after GH shat on him.
