A new center half?, and right midfielder? - 3 days to go

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As it seems funds are limited i doubt we are going to get either of the two players form England. I wouldnt be surprised if Rafa went shopping in La Liga once again. The ideal winger he had in mind for the right was Juan Fran (Real Madrid). RB's been tracking him for some time now and im sure most of you remember he tried to include Juan Fran as part of the Owen deal but we ended up with Nunez. He may cost up to 5 or 6 Mil but i think hes worth it.

JuanFran has gone to Espanol on a year loan. Real Madrid are hard to do business with as they look to screw us over whenever we're interested in their players and vice versa.

Personally it would please me if we left spanish players alone now,i think we have overdone the spanish imports abit.We need players who are a bit more use to the demands of the premiership.

The article below is in French but says that we have contacted Roma and asked for Mexes on loan with a view to a permanent deal next summer but they've said no.

Why exactly? He's past his best, he is injury prone as of late and because of that he's already missed the start of the season. He was behind Senderos in the pecking order when he was fit last season.

As much as it saddens me to say it - without the option of using home grown academy talent to fill the roles we're talking about if we seriously want to be consistently in the top three agian we need to lay some serious cash on the table.  We know that many players would jump for the chance to play at LFC but thanks to Chelski and Real etc inflated prices are a fact of life these days.   ???

He'd be a quality buy as well - but the store is closing.
