Josemi says (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldow ... 0-0825.htm)
"If I'm used as a centre back more, I'll be happy. I love tackling and this is where I'm strongest.
"In my last season at Malaga I played centre back, not right back so it's not a problem position for me. In fact, it's a position I enjoy very much."
Two questions:
Firstly, what do you guys think? Is he better suited to CB, or would we just shift his inconsistency and poor decision making closer to where it can really hurt us?
I was reasonably impressed with him during the Super Cup, despite some typical Josemi moments. However, I wonder if you want a calmer head for the centre of defence - sometimes not tackling is the best thing you can do - I could see him rushing up and getting turned a little too much... Give me Hyppia for the high balls and Carra for everything else anyday.
Not that I think it is going to happen, but...
Secondly, why does he put his hand up now for CB - does he know something we don't - i.e., we're not getting another CB?
