Is it me or does watching Owen lately make you think of Stevie Mac just before he upped and went to Madrid? Total lack of form or interest ( excuse him the effects re:his builders suicide )Stevie Mac looked as though he was killing time until he threw on his sombrero, slapped on the sun tan oil and warned his bank manager of the impending flood of Pesatas/Euro's, for at least the last 3months of the season. Does Owen look the spitting image or is it me?

good point, although i dont think thats true, i think its more to do with the fact he dosn,t like playing under houlliers tactics leaving him isolated all the time he likes to play of players like heskey.i think he actually needs to be publicly dropped by houllier to give him a good old fashioned kick up the backside,at the moment owen knows he will play the next game no matter how poor a performance he puts in

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I think it is time for Owen to move on. I agree his heart isn't there lately, but that may be due to a lack of service more than anything. Although... he has missed a few sitters, albeit after coming back from injury. It reminds me of when Owen is playing for England and not getting the service. He really isn't a striker that can create space for himself or beat a defender or two, ala Baros. He is more of an opportunistic, quick, deadly finisher when on form. More often than not he gets lost up front fruitlessly chasing long balls down. If Owen was to play for Arsenal or Madrid, with their more fluid passing game, I think he would score 20-30 goals per year easy if he could stay healthy.

Q: You're trapped in a room with a tiger, a rattlesnake, and a Manchester United Fan. You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?

A: Shoot the United Fan. Twice.
