Anyone wonder what Houllier was thinking by not bringing Henchoz on to have a true back 4, when the aggregate score was 2-2? I thought for sure he would make that tactical change at half time, bring Heskey back to midfield and leave Owen, then Baros (60th minute sub) as the front runner? After Baros was spent if it went to extra time, then bring Pongolle on to finish off the game. Take our chances on Penalty Kicks... with Kewell, Murphy, Gerrard, Hamann, or Riise/Baros/Heskey/Pongolle I would have liked our chances in penalty kicks, rather than trying to have 3 backs trying to cover the speed and strength of the Marseille strikers...I really think Houllier's tactical thinking in another world at times...give him a job in scouting and let Tommo take over.

I think you'd have to ask houllier himself for an answer cos none of us really know why?
