Time to dig in - The players have to...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The players have to stand up and be counted now.The season is teetering on the edge of the abyss and we need men on the field of play and not blubbering cowards who hide at every opportunity.Superstars need to produce the goods that gave them that "star" status and the big money signings have to earn their crust.

Supersub I understand your post, but I think its gone beyond that.  This season is already terrible.  Liverpool's superstars played well tonight.  The rest of the football team played to their normal ability.  Buying a painting for £7 million does not make it a Rembrant.  Houllier spent too much money on players who will never be superstars, their wages and their position in the team won't make them better.

I know.....It's just a sad plea to any inkling of pride or passion buried under the huge wallets they have.
We all know it will be Steven Gerrard that will save the club,Houllier and the rest of the under-achievers.

I think most of our squad have the balls and the ability to dig in and grind our way to 4th IF PROPERLY MANAGED. GH cannot do this.

We played well last night until that pr##k Biscan threw it away. Ever since he's been at Liverpool he's been a liability, all his moments of note have been negative - bookings, sendings off, rash challenges etc etc I know it's easy to say this now but he always was a liability and always will be. He has no class, no skill, no intelligence and no future at LFC under any other manager than GH.

Biscan is top of a list of players who need to be sold for whatever we can get for them and get their useless a#ses off our payroll: Biscan, Diouf, Diao, Smicer, Heskey, Le Tallec, the list goes on.

But until Houllier f##ks off NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Au revoir Monsieur Houllier and take your misfits with you.

All of this has been said before for the past 18 months and while the team will probably pull off one or two results after the Marseille game, I could see more disapointment ahead this season.

These players have been digging in supposedly for weeks . Anfield is like the Somm there are so many trenches .

Perhaps we should play these foreign teams on the Beaches . As Churchill would have said .

On a serious note , they just havent got it guys . To many overpaid players are not producing the goods . Gerrards the only one that really works hard for the shirt . The others just turn up really .

it saddens me that we only have to look forward to 4th spot, this is a very anti-climatic ending to this season, in fact it's downright depressing.
