Oh it's going to be a tense 48 hours :;):

Fingers crossed Marseille don't make a bid for Cisse in the next few hours :(

If owen was in Newcastle for about 5-6 hours.......he must have met Rafa and Parry in the early hours of this morning

Cant help thinking though,if he met Parry and Rafa before he went to Newcastle and then spent 6 hours up there.
1. surely he wasnt happy with what we offered him or
2. Real madrid wanted him to listen to both offers, before he decided
3. I,m not optimistic lads

hearing reports that the reason why he went on to Newcastle after having talks in Liverpool was b/c Parry decided that Michael needed a bit of a laugh after a few depressing and tense weeks so he advised Michael to go and have a look at Newcastle's trophy room. While Shepherd fully intended to give Michael the full tour including trophy room unfortunately its doubles as the caretakers room and by the time they got there the caretaker had parked his broom up, locked up and gone home!

Only makes sense for him to at least listen to both offers. Being the "professional" he is, he has to look after his career and all.

Maybe he is being polite and going to meet Newcastle as well rather than p155ing people off, also he probably wants to hear what both parties have to offer ???

neither am i...................

or, owen being the "model-pro" that he is, already obligated, felt he must at least give nufc a fair hearing regardless of the actual outcome..
however...

how come SSN broadcast pictures of MO late this afternoon  in the company of shepherd etc.. and yet nothing earlier?  i say this because surely a camea crew would have been outside anfield/melwood etc ready to capture ANY sight of him this morning? therefore breaking a news item first?
its in their interests to do that... unless, owen as i felt, hasnt YET been to LFC... gentlemanly conduct going up there first or something concrete...we'll know soon enough.

one thing for sure..reading the build up to the owen saga..i just wonder if those on here calling for owen to sign, and questioning rafa's position over this, will be equally as quick to accept defeat magnanimously if he doesnt rejoin liverpool?

ill say again.. if he comes he comes. but if he goes, it might have been better that he did. bearing in mind the motives MO has for getting first team football .ie  england first.  :no

He'll of been advised by his agent to look round Newcastle. because it makes him look like a good professional.

whatever happens i think MO needs to look at what his agent has managed to do for him. or maybe a year ago he pormised to secure him a year at RM after which he would be free to sign for Newcastle and win nothing at RM or ever again (unless England win the World Cup next year) - good set of negotiating in anyones eyes - what a shambles! the poor guy has been completely legged over and ill advised - just hope he fires SFX (or whoever else) after this mess is sorted out.
