Surely prize and TV money has gone on new players. This is why media sources say liverpool would surely have to sell one of their big stars to fund a move for Owen. Newcastle of course have a nice 8 digit bank balance to make a straight cash club record bid.

you say that but season ticket income, programme sales, merchandise sales, gate recipts, player sales (nunez etc), and player sales means wage savings, tv revenue and sponsorship. It all adds up.

And those 8 digits you have are saved by buying sub standard players on free transfers like bowyer.

The same Bowyer that Liverpool bid 12 million for whilst he was at Leeds?

it amazes me that some Cartoon fans actually believe the rubbish their chairman spouts. Newcastle have spent a lot of money on their ground, their income isn't bigger than ours and they don't play in the Champions league either.

I would have thought the Rooney saga last summer would have proved that.
