You fluked the champions league, completely undeservedly through an unbelievable string of bad refereeing decisions. There was a reason you were 50/1 and theres a reason you've been nowhere near the league in the last 10 years.
  :D

nowhere in the league??? but we finished 2nd a couple of years ago!

fluke.....so a fluke is a one off ocurance?  How can we 'fluke' Monaco, Juventus, Olimparcos, Deporivo, Chelski, Milan?  :D

get lost Cartoon boy!

Unexplainable run of good luck.

Actually, if you knew anything you would look at the players we've sold and the players we've bought over the last 5 years and out NET SPEND is very small. Under £10m if I remember rightly. Do you not think a club like Newcastle can make 10 million in 5 seasons? Fool.

Are you Leeds utd in disguise?  :D

Actually read something in the paper a couple of months back saying Liverpool were 22 million in debt. Add that to new stadium debt and you're edging closer to leeds by the day ;)

Rafa better get going soon.  Not much time left.  I hope we can fill our positions of need.

Unexplainable run of good luck.

???

How is it luck when we beat several quality teams in a row?

We can also point out that Chelsea winning the Prem. last season was an unexplainable run of luck too.  Arsenal's unbeaten streak:  luck.  Everything's luck, I guess.

Surely prize and TV money has gone on new players. This is why media sources say liverpool would surely have to sell one of their big stars to fund a move for Owen. Newcastle of course have a nice 8 digit bank balance to make a straight cash club record bid.

I consider the referee allowing the goal against chelsea very lucky. I consider the referee not noticing Dudek being the width of the mersy off his line in the penalty shoot out vs milan very lucky.

you say that but season ticket income, programme sales, merchandise sales, gate recipts, player sales (nunez etc), and player sales means wage savings, tv revenue and sponsorship. It all adds up.

And those 8 digits you have are saved by buying sub standard players on free transfers like bowyer.

I'm glad that you fluked the champions league. It'll make it so refreshing when you get a hard reality slap. The fact that you think you're the best in Europe is laughable. You wouldn't even be in the compeition this year if normal rules were followed, so how can you be europes best!
