anyways hes on what 100k + plus at madrid. If there not gonna pay him near that for a contract then do you really think they will for a loan.  Whats the point. Might aswell sign him. Madrid dont need him now.

Chelsea only paid half his wages, and even that was unusual, usually the team that takes the player on loan pays all their wages.

You can guarantee that Real (being the :censored: that they are) would have us paying ALL of Owen's wages if he were loaned to us.

Which isnt gonna happen. I dont see Liverpool paying £120K a week or whatever hes on. If hes serious about coming here hes gonna have to settle for around 50-60K a week

No idea about Chelseas business,I don't follow them as closely as you .
Retard ?  hahahaha feels like I've just been savaged by a living brain donor .

Whatever ,bottom line is as I stated earlier players on loan USUALLY have their wages paid by the club who has them . This is often the reason why a club will loan out a highly paid player who's on a high salary but not playing regular footy ,it gets the player off their wage bill . Surely even you can understand that ?

Do anyone honestly see MO coming back to Liverpool on a LOAN. just so he can spend the next season after that on the bench again liek Morientes did after his loan at Monaco.

No ,especially if like you Madrid think they'll have to continue paying Owens wages while he's out on loan .

It would be nice to think that we could keep Cisse and still get Owen. What i dont understand is that Parry was gonna splash out £25 odd million anyway let alone the £30M we raked in from the Champions league. Wheres it all gone? We havent spent that much.

Well following your earlier theory ,perhaps he's spent it on the wages for all those players we have out on loan ?

I think RB's just being cautious with the money. Im sure theres plenty of it but hes just making sure hes buying good players not just for now but for the future liek Alonso, Sissoko, Carson and Barragan. Getting back to MO.

Im sick of all this talk. MO is supposedly flying out tonight and is due to meet RP in the morning before meeting F Shepeard.

So the report is   is that MO is in England to hold talks with Liverpool and Newcastle ?  I think everyone is missing the point with  that news...... Owen is holding talks with Liverpool . What is everyone missing ? ok  put it this way , Real have accepted an offer  from Liverpool  thats waht everyone is missing here . To hold talks with a club  with a view to moving there  ,  then Real must have accepted some sort of offer  to allow Owen to  hold talks with Liverpool  in the first place.
It means Liverpool have made an offer  and Real have accepted , even if its a lot less than Newcastles offer   Real know that  realisticaly Liverpool  are the only team that Owen wants to play  for  and if an offer has been made by Liverpool then Owen will accept that one and turn the Toon  down flatly , either that and pay Owens wages for the remainder of the season  (january at the earliest )  and still coff up 4 million they still owe us.

well I think that is what negotiations are all about surely?

What you have is a simple case of show and tell...Owen at this point appears to be showing everything and Rafa is showing nothing. I've heard rumours that SFX are trying to catch Rafa alone in his caravan, strap him to a chair, cut his hand behind his back then throw some nice stingy stuff on it until he talks....maybe bop him on the nose, give him a ciggy and talk about his familys' history..........

Whoa....disappeared on a little True Romance fantasy there. The analogy isn't far off though...Rafa has showed nothing of his hand and Owen has been forced to beg beg beg.

We all know that he wants to play for England next year
We all know that he isn't gonna start much at Real this season
We all know he is concerned that this will jeopardise his chances in the England team.
We all know that next years world cup is the one where he'll be 'in his prime' so he needs to be there.
We all know Sven has outed him in the press.
We all know that Newcastle have made an offer and Real will let him go.
We all know that he really doesn't want to go there.
We all know that he really wants to play for us.
We all know that he really wants CL football.
We don't have a clue whether Rafa cares if he lives or dies at the moment.

This is pure genius in a world of spin and media manipulation. Rafa holds all the cards and the best bargaining position possible. I seem to remember Rafa playing him and his agents off like this just before he left as well. The man is as cunning as a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University.
