Chelsea vs liverpool - Oh how i cant wait for this one ...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

... and it was inevitable!

Im going to make this post a short one.

Firstly I hope both squads are injury free, players are in good sync with eachother and on top form.

Ok, no doubt both sides will be looking forward to this clash.

Our boys will be super charged for this, Jose will have all the tactics sorted (obviously!) and Rafa will too. I expect a highly tactical approach from both sides, a slight slip by any side and they will concede a goal. A lot of possession will be kept, attacks will be sprung with extreme caution and defense will be top knotch.

Wednesday 28 September Chelsea - at Anfield
Tuesday 6 December Liverpool - at the Bridge

Bring it on  :buttrock

PS - Liverpool and Chelsea CCup Final, CL SemiFinal, CL Grp Stages ---------------- Fergie and Wenger go play cricket!

Well I am really looking forward to those games and hopefully the reds can win a Anfield and get a draw at the Bridge.

Also does anyone else think Arsenal always get it easy, i mean the lowest ranked of the top 8 seeds, yet they get the easiest group , this normally seems to happen to Arsenal in the group stages.

this tie is going to be one HELL of a chessmatch. but i think it will work in our favour. dont forget chelsea themselves have to take on the excellent real betis and (a very good) anderlecht themselves; and these two sides arent nobodys fools.. they both will want their shot at THE CHAMPION and the "SPECIAL ONE"  and they'll not be easy for chelsea either, leaving more room in the group for us (hopefully).

at least think about this.

RAFA BENITEZ will know REAL BETIS inside out. end of. he wont know EVERYTHING as he didnt with deportivo, but he will know enough for us to prevail- at least thats the theory.....

same with chelsea

so thats two tactical battles he will already have a head start with. (same could be said for mourinho to a lesser degree). but at least its not the unknown.........

but ANDERLECHT will be CRUCIAL to our progress here. and its in this tie id be hoping for 6 points. because if WE dont then chelsea might well.. and that leaves the position much harder to negotiate.  if we overcome them, and at least take 3 off betis, i feel 10 points well maybe enough to go through again.... close, but attainable.   :)

four points from six , we win by the odd goal at anfield and a stalemate at chelsea .
Does that sound familiar ?  :D  :D  :D

Whats up with you ? It's an LFC forum , are you expecting us to feel less than confident about faciing your lot ? If you don't like it why not fk off and wipe Terry's ar'se ,judging from his recent comments he's shi'tting himself at the prospect of another visit to Anfield .

Well, no one can dispute that Chelsea have the better squad, but if both teams are at full strength there is not much to choose between our best starting 11's.

We may be the european champions and top seeds in the group, but Chelsea will be considered favourites and there will be more presure on them to win.

I believe our fans will give us more of an edge at Anfield than theirs will at the Bridge, so overall I reckon we'll get the better of them over the 2 games.  But, a lot can happen injury-wise between now and then...  Can't wait

just heard on the radio that the first meeting between us in the CL is on the 28th september at anfield. that means we're playing each other twice in 5 days as we're playing again at anfield in the premiership on october 2nd.

just a question for all lfc fans. yes i know we want to win both games but do you see the league game being more important than the CL game in some ways? if we lose the CL game we can still recover in a group situation. lose the league game and chelsea will be miles ahead of us, and it'll only be october.

personally, i don't think there's anything in it. i personally can't wait.  :buttrock

What about what Joaquin may do to OUR left back eh?? Did you think about that? I mean Del Horno is better than any LB we have by a country mile TBH!!!
