cant argue with the most valuable player award or the best goalkeeper and midfielder award but carragher should have won the best defender award, john terry doesnt deserve that award and for the best forward award ronaldinho doesnt deserve it he got it purely because hes ronaldinho, he had to win something

I  disagree with Ronaldiniho getting the best Striker, Barca got to the last 16 where as Adriano got to the last 8 and Sheva got to the final. The award was for the best Striker in the Champions leauge and it wasn't Ronaldiniho and also i can't belive Carra didn't win top defender and Gerrard didn't get down to the last 3 of the top midfielders.

I'm disappointed that Carra didn't win, he deserved to win. Cech didn't deserve to win, neither did Ronaldinho. Once again UEFA feck it all up.

GERRARD: I WILL PROVE I'M A TRUE RED
Daily Mirror 26 August 2005

Chelsea travel to Anfield on September 28 and Gerrard said: "In the build-up a lot of people are going to be talking about what happened in the summer with me and Chelsea. The most important thing is that the team plays well as well as me, but I know I have to make sure I'm up for it."

We love ya Stevie and your sounding like a real captain should (so far) this season but plaease don't let your MVP award go to your head. Quote - 'The most important thing is that the team plays as well as me'    ???? ?????!!!!!!!!!!! What a thing to say. It's bloody true i know but you can't come out with these things all season.

I'm sure they must have built a seperate dressing room for Stevie's head to sit in.

Jamie Carragher deserved the best defender award and not Terry.

I take it all back - Just read the same interview in the Express and it seems the Mirror have moved the words around which made the comments sound really arrogant. He actually said 'It's important the team play well, as well as myself'.
