No doubt that Sinama should have got a medal to be honest I dont blame him ofr being pi**ed off I know I would and I think anybody would rightly be. I think it would be a mistake to let him leave. Remember he was the one that changed the game aganist Olympicas when he came on.

I thought he would have got at least a medal given that he scored a goal that was equally important against Olympiakos. I think its apparent that Le Tallec is the only French youngster he wishes to keep. Pongolle isa striker not a winger end of story. Id rather have a young spaniard of one of Rafas young talents than someone who may turn out to be the next flop.

I can't see him leaving one of the biggest clubs in the world just because he didn't get a medal or that he missed the bus.
If he leaves now, he'll miss out on even more medals and parade buses - mark my words!

Well if MO comes back and we get Stelios in and another winger, he will find himself 5th in the pecking order behind Morientes, crouch, Cisse Owen/Kuijt, and probably thinks argh f*ck that I want to be a first teamer and play every week.
I know the young lads where really p*ssed off over the spaniards getting preferencial treatment over them, on the bus and when the medals where given out, Flo just mustin be a happy lad at the moment, but nothings confirmed as of yet.
But knowing Houllier if we asked for 5 million for him he would make a cheque out for 10.

I really hope this aint true!
Pongo is a very promising prospect for the very near future and it would be a shame if he went!
Personally i dont think he'll go anywhere cauase Raffa is bound to see his skill and promise!! Unless  bigger fish are lined up???
All this rumour suspence thing is killing me ffs!! Roll on the 31st

I think Pongolle is a talented young player. But to be honest I don't think he will fit in very well with our style of play. He ain't no target man and he aint no winger either. If Houllier is coming this way with some decent money, I think selling is a option to be considered. Rafa has said we have to sell if we are to bring in the players he wants. If Pongolle and Baros leaves, and this makes it possible to sign two defenders and a winger then it isn't a bad thing is it?

If we can get rid of diao then there is not much deadwood left is there?
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

To be honest any deal that was going to happen (if any) is now most likely dead as pongo played tonight.

Suprised traore has been given a new contract TBH  :O

rafa doesnt seem to be putting any fires out with the (now boring) press conference comedy routine either!   :shifty

FLO-PO DISMISSES TRANSFER RUMOURS
Mark Platt 23 August 2005
Florent Sinama-Pongolle has dismissed rumours linking him with a loan move to Aberdeen and vowed to stay and fight for his Liverpool future.
Pongolle made his first appearance of the season as a second half substitute against CSKA Sofia on Wednesday night and afterwards told Liverpoolfc.tv that he has no intention of following Milan Baros out of the Anfield exit door.

He said: "There is no truth whatsoever in this story. There has been no contact and it's not going to happen. I have no desire to leave this club. I am very happy here."

After seven months out with a knee injury the French striker was delighted to be back in the first team spotlight against the Bulgarian champions and added: "My aim now is to carry on working hard in training and push hard for a regular first team place."

I know is not about pongo to lyon but he says he is happy to stay which is good. ALLEZ ALLEZ SINAMA-PONGOLLE ALLEZ ALLEZ SINAMA-PONGOLLE  :buttrock
