as for morientes yes he has a good record but that isnt in the premiership, and in my opinion he will never live up to his record in the prem from what ive seen from him playing last season and this season, so before you open your mouth again give me fair points to consider and be realistic and not optimistic and hopeful points. (your points are hopeful in your sense as your hopeful moro and cisse will live up to their records for LFC but it has yet to be proven)
and actually to be title contenders your points about progress come after my views in reality, yet you are entitled to your own opinions and i am entitled to mine, we'll never know who;d make the better manager.

WTF - in the games he's played in position, he's scored!!!! How much more can you funking ask of the guy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are my points on progress not realistic? Is progress purely based on improving the weaker elements of a whole? Is it not about improving play, attitude, perception and skill? Am I not being 'realistic' in having such views?  ???

We play well and get 1 point - people complain
We play in 1st gear and get 3 points - people complain

The only way most of you will be happy is if we score 3 goals in every game and win every game.

Hey mods/admins,

I spent some considerable time writing a long and decent piece on the performance of the team today. Now that thread's gone. Granted, probably you guys didn't think it needed a new thread but at least you could have the decency to merge it with the existing threads. How can you disregard the effort of the poster?

I was honestly trying to contribute to this forum and wrote a detailed piece instead of a few lines here and there and this is what happens. This is what I get.

Honestly, what's this big deal about a few new threads a day. You guys have to learn that lumping all threads together in a single thread makes for difficult reading. To balance between an over-congested forum, as long as the post's decent, the effort's there, why won't you just leave it alone and get rid of other senseless postings?

Honestly dissapointed with this forum. Last post here.

hmm ok im not ecstatic about the performance but im happier than i was after the boro game. we got the 3 points and thats all we need, its only the second game and we will put in much better performances in the future.

all the biggest teams can win a match even when they play poorly and thats what we did today so i use this game as a plus. this is the sort of thing we need to be doing when we have our bad days so we still collect the points

anywayz, i thought that liverpool backed off after alonso scored and fail to convert chances when we got them. not going to criticise cisse or nando, YET.

I understand all the points made about "doom & gloom" after 2 league games, so I'll start with pluses - last season, from those 2 performances, we would have probably got 1 point maybe 2, and we have 4, unbeaten, no goals conceded - so we've made an improvment, but last season our league form was appalling by LFC standards, so failure to improve would be disastrous. IMO, - have a go if you want, and I hope I'm wrong - but I can see the same problems we had last year - plenty of chances and no goals. There's good reason to believe we will get better, with key parts of the squad not signed yet, settling in to the new season etc, but we are not good enough yet to get past :censored:.em'all, Chelski and Manure. Maybe I'm just pssed off cos my live feed from China turned into SpursvBoro when I went to get a coffee ???  , but I would really like to see a big performance from the boys soon - against Manure would be nice!, so I can believe we really are close to making a title challenge.

Keep the faith - sorry mate, but from the little I did see, you did well to keep the score down. I can see where you're coming from - down to 10 against one of the best sides in the league and only go down to a set piece, but come on, the reason is that we didn't didn't take our chances. Your bloke shouldn't have been sent off, but Garcia defo didn't dive. I hope your lads can build some confidence from today's result - Sunderland are a big enough club to be a permanent Prem side, but fraid to say, I won't be putting any money on you staying up!

i'm sorry but you're talking :censored:!  Yes we played average, yes we should have scored more, but we won and i'm happy with that.  I'm not going to judge our performance until 10 games in, but Rafa has more players to sign and we have 2 clean sheets.

More Players to sign ?? Like who ?? There are only a few days left before transfer windows closes. And I haven't heard of any CB's or RW's that are rumoured to be signed.

Besides, no big team having won with big aggregate. Manure have just only won 1-0 too.
I know it's a frustrating game, but higher trees get stronger wind.

Watched Manure play today also, they looked Very goodas they did last week.( hard to say that but they did).
