Sunderland fan here - Don't bite!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hey you lot, don't bite but I honestly don't think that we deserved to lose today, I feel that compared to the last time we played at Anfield, we played a more attacking game and it showed, we created two clear cut chances; for the first one Carragher was in the right place at the right time and for the second, Brown just needed to put his leg out!

Xabi took his goal well, second time in a week we have been beaten by a cracking free kick, I think Davis got a hand to it, but it was always destined to go in. So well done him.

Now the more pressing point on the mind of Sunderland fans - Luis Garcia. Sorry but Welsh is NOT a dirty player, he didn't go in that hard and Garcia made a meal of it, I don't even think that the ref was going to send him of until he spoke to his linesman. But I don't think it was a red, and I think I will be hard pushed to find anyone who disagrees. Hopefully Knight will recinde it ala Jenas. Will be interesting to see his (Garcia's) reception at the SoL. I also think the ref missed a penalty appeal in the first half against Sissikoko (sp?) but c'est la  vie, more concerned about the fact we are losing our best player of the season so far.

Oh, and Nosworthy (right back) is :censored: before anyone starts.

Other than that, best of luck for rest of season lads.

.. Can't comment on the sending off until I see it, I think we had a enuff chances again today (as last week against boro) to have one by a greater margin. The dividing line between relegation and winning trophys can be days like this.

Hope u stay up but it's gonna be a long haul for us all. Back to the Champions League for us mate, defending ol big ears is the next task :)

We could had scored more if our strikers had our shooting boots on, you're lucky that you only lost 1-0

We totally outclassed sunderland today how can you say you deserved to lose?
You played both halfs with 10 men defending, you had a bunch of kids out today and when class got the better of them they couldnt handle it.
You just broke the play up constanlty not to let us play our passing game, constant fouls Sunderland fouls 17 liverpool 4 ??? .
With our class we should have wiped the floor with you, but it wasnt to be cause our players had just come back from Internationals, sorry but Wigan played a lot better against Chelsea than you did today against us.

Au Contraire, I believe if the ref hadn't been such a homer, then we would have had a peno. If Carra hadn't been in the right place and if Brown stuck his leg out then there's three goals we could have had.

Garcia is still a cheat. I will put money on him getting conveniently injured just before the game at the SoL; but maybe it will be a dislocated hair strand. Spanish P**f

As much as I expected, do you think Sunderland fans went to Anfield with any hope? No, most were expecting to get beat by 5 or 6. And I don't think we were outclassed. I feel at times we were more than a match for you. Welsh for one had whoever was RB running ragged at times. Even Gerrard got booked for taking him out. Speaking of him, why did he get taken off?

Why didn't Davis use his left hand?  :upside:

Hark at her.

That was Welsh's first card in his Sunderland career, which tells you something about him when he is approaching 30 games with us. Personally, I don't mind that Liverpool is becoming La Liga United, but the more spaniards you have, the more divers you will have.

FACT.

Only he can answer that. But like I said, good free kick.

Maybe a little more grace in victory is called for here. I didn't see the game my Sunderland friend, but if you did turn up with a team of kids and you had a man sent off, 1-0 does you some credit it has to be said. I think you probably know it's going to be a difficult season and results away at Anfield and Old trafford aren't going to form the direction of it.
TBH I thought your result last week was a little worrying, you will need to pick points up at the SOL against the likes of Charlton. I think last season WBA set the benchmark for the promoted teams. It's reasonable to assume two from three will go down, you just need to finish above one existing club. Portsmouth could be your kiddies. You need a goalscorer though, might I suggest a certain Robert Earnshaw? :D (It's a bit of an in-joke of mine).

Sunderland 3 shots on target, Liverpool 15 shots on target, disguss ???

As said, we never expected anything, but I feel we were starting to come into the game more and more with the introduction of Sleeves.

3 more than we had last time we played there. I'm happy with the fact that 1-0 shows that we were more than a match for you, as we created chances. Football is about taking chances, and you took one of 15. Not good enough.
