although is love gerrard, you must only be young, as i have had the pleasure of watching many of lfc's legends pulling on the red shirt at first hand and not on DVD re-runs etc.
but your point is very valid
nah mate, i`ve been watching them since the mid 70`s but i dont look back through rose tinted glasses.
until recently i thought graeme souness was better but being honest he never had the engine gerrard has got, and graeme was a great passer of the ball which is often overlooked but gerrard`s through balls often get called hollywood but he still carves defences open with regularity and has a superb passing game. if gerrard`s passing game is hollywood then molby would walk away with the oscar, rambo used to spray balls all over the pitch just for show and being honest never opened defences up with passes like gerrard mainly because he always seemed to sit infront of the back four.
jimmy case, terry mc, steve mcmahon, jan molby, souness, ronnie whelan etc were all great players but gerrard would have done a better job if placed in the same team`s as these players. plus gerrard has carried a side for a few years whilst still in his early 20`s - only souness could have come close to doing that imo.
