Can someone explain to me what the "reverse swing" does?

instead of a ball going straight and then changing direction when it hits the pitch reverse swing just means the ball is swerving in mid air before it lands. kinda like a footy player curling a shot.the great players then get the ball to bounce in the opposite direction of the mid air swerve.
it`s a lot harder than it sounds, imagine throwing a tennis ball and getting it to swerve in one direction then bounce the other. its got a lot to do with having one side of the ball shiny and the other side rough and apparently when the weather is overcast that helps but no one is really sure why it happens.
it happens a lot in the indian subcontinent where the atmosphere is heavy and humid so thats why they assume the weather might help.
there are many theory`s why it happens but none is yet universally accepted, apparently students doing areonautical physics degree`s often try to explain why this happens but as yet no one knows for sure.

Well here we go again.......The fourth Test is about to start at Trent Bridge.I hope we can do it,but i now think its unlikely as we have to win both tests or win one and a draw to retain the Ashes.I think we had our best chance at old Trafford,a test we should have won.If we had gone into this 4th test 2-1 up we would be in a great position now......Anyway hope i,m wrong....GOOD LUCK ENGLAND

229 for 4 with pietersen and flintoff at the crease on the 2nd morning gives me plenty of confidence. :)

Would'nt mind a downpour for half an hour now, declare, put them in on a slippery wicket for 3 hours or so, rip into them, then they can resume in the morning say 108-7 frantically trying to avoid the follow on. How easy is that?   :O

Guys just want to say one thing. assuming home side have a say about how they want a wicket prepared, why have a completely dead wicket when you have 2 of the faster bowlers in test cricket? this match  based on what i've seen today and yesterday, will be a draw. but of course we have to bat well. which is not a certainity, previous form suggests we lack the staying power.

that said i reckon langer will get a double century. coooommm'on u bastards

who said i am a one eyed supporter? ???? ??????

:p :D
