Sure its not the result we all wanted but I'll take the positives out of the game.  I'd rather tie and look dominating than just barely eek out a tie against someone.

And we didn't get anything from them on the road last season. Can you not put one and one together ffs?

what does last season have to do with anything. you seem to say this a lot. last season is finished.

the fact is today in the first half we set out to not lose, one chance on goal we had. second half its as though the players realised they could also go forward and support the lone striker (why do we play this formation, it doesnt work). ok second half we had chances to win the game, but we didnt win the game, this is definitley two points dropped.

we all need to remember last season chelsea lost one game, that means anyone that lost two games really had no chance of winning the title. i know it was first game blah blah blah but at the end of the season its still a game, it doesnt matter when in the season it came, the fact is we dropped two points because first half we were not adventurous enough and the second half we couldnt finish

seeing Gerrard doing all the things himself once again is not a good sign for us this season.

Exactly..........lets also not take for granted that we are gonna win all our home games too juz becos we won 75% of our home games last season. If we have a chance to beat an average opposistion, we have to take it (home or away).

Each season is different.

I thought the whole point of this season was to improve on the results of the last campain. So this result shows that we r improving, we were beaten 2-0 at the riverside last season & in my opinion well beaten. So to turn it around that we never looked like losing is a big progression. So all im looking 4 is 2 improve results on the road & playing the 4-5-1 formation we look solid & compact, something that was sadly missing in our away form last season. I know its early in the season but if we keep playing like that on the road we will close the 37 point gap from last term
