Baros seemed to be looking up a little more this evening,

don't be too much demanding and stern with the players this is their first game it will be better

sissoko had a good game and covered every blade of grass but his distribution and retention of possession needs some work though. i thought hypia had a great game at the back as well. gerrard missed a few chances but again he was our main man.
its dissappointing to miss out on the 3 points but if we dominate every away game like that we wont be far away from the title come next may.

Hear hear, its what the bitters, Bolton, and chelsea done last season, ONE point is better than nothing even though if we had started with 2 strikers we would have won, but thats in hindsight now and Rafa making his notes will learn from it.
I hate it that we didnt get 3 points but its better than getting beat and we have gone 9 games now on an unbeaten run, including friendlies and CL qualifiers its a damn sight better than what we have had the past 5 years.
And I may be jumping the gun here a bit but I believe we will win the european cup in Paris in May. :)

Alonso not effective in the Premiership? Garcia scored 8 goals in the Premiership in his first season, not really effective eh.

well, we'll see. They all look to me like they don't want to take a chance with the ball. I just want to taking on players and beating them.....we mess around way too much. We telegraph the ball too much....it's all too safe

lads lads, look at it this way, only 111 points to play for, and also that point today could be vital by may.
And we dont have to go to that shithole again this season!!!
unless the cup draw

Theres no denying we dropped two points, just like rafa said.  Gerrad cant score! only against sh.ite like TNS.

On another note Momo is a legde.

Did rafa actually say Gerrards sh.ite? and can only score against TNS? I doubt it, and I doubt you watched the game cause gerrard was on for 5 goals today, but nothing was going in for him, I think you need to watch the game before you actually comment on it.

I don't consider myself part of the doom and gloom parade. I have been a fan since I was about 3 years old and have seen them through thick and thin. I just don't think that they are going to hack it in the long run.

I personally thought that Alonso was shocking today and gave the ball away way too cheaply. Come to mention it, I thought that Carragher had an off day distribution wise, but noone would mention that on here.

I appreciate Cisse only had 20 mins or so, but his first touch is abysmal at the moment.

I don't mean this sarcastically at all, but I would love to hear your view of how he played today as I must have seen a different game than you did. This is what the board is all about surely?  :)

it's a fair point, but don't you at least see what I mean there. The few times that we did break from the norm and run at people instead of trying to thread something through the middle, we actually caused them problems.

So Alonso doesn't play superbly in the first game of the Premiership campaign and you're already suggesting that we won't make it in the Premiership. Where the feck were you last season when Alonso was Xabrilliant on the pitch?

you dont want our centre midfielders to mess around on the ball but just want them to go on mazy runs taking people on with dribbling skills? thats a contradiction in terms in my book, their centre midfielders not outside rights!!

Hi A.B.

I stand to be corrected on Garcia as well. Perhaps he is out of position as a lot of the commentators refer to....at the moment, he doesn't look consistent enough to me where he is playing.

I was actually looking after my first kid for most of the season and I didn't get to see as many games as I was hoping to....but to me, he looked like the best of the bunch of first signings that came in....not necessarily that great.
