following on from the lively debate on iraq, i thought it interesting to see if anyone had any thoughts on who's next in the firing line

the hitlist may include:

North Korea
Syria
Iran
Old Trafford (due to glazer influence)

no-one knows for sure, but there are many good folk on here that have strong opinions, so lets hear them

the rule is simple, state the country and why would The USA attack - give your reason etc

Doubt if North korea would actually be in "the firing line" Judge , They've got the world 3rd largest army (twice the size of usa) and they're not the "Republican Guard"  :D They also have China as a big mate livin' next door .

USA would like to see changes there ,guess they'll try by "other" means .

Maybe you should add Canada and Mexico to the list . :D

Ooops forgot you wanted a reason . Since when did USA need a reason to attack anyone ? but how about Canada and Mexico aren't american .  :D

i saw on fox news last night a thing that a leading black new york councellor had said ''the only thing cuba exports is humanitarian aid, but the when the USA exports anything, it is guns, weapons, killing and invasion''

i nearly fell off my seat with laughter when i heard that, it was very funny indeed :D

I can't believe a councellor actually told the truth.  He'll be six feet under within a couple of years.
Of course that's what they export : their economy is based on it and is the largest earning industry in the world.

it was the way in which it was said (voice tone), by one of their own. an off the cuff remark, coupled by tone of voice etc, you should know woof. it was funny at the time.

i dont mean that i thought killing etc was funny, it was a redicule statement made by this man that appealed to my funny side. does that make sense??

Wasn't sure if you were laughing at the content of the new york councillors statement ,I would've .
Cuba sent loads of "humanitarian aid " to Angola . A massive part of that aid was trained military personnel who actually took part in the fighting .Hundreds of Cubans were killed and many were captured by South African forces who made pre-emptive strikes into that country in support of the non marxist faction.

don't like communism or socialism but I really respect Castro, I mean at one stage in the revlolution there were only 8 of them. yanks had a corrupt puppet government (Batista) who was really cruel.

Castro has outlived Kennedy and all the others. he hasn't lived the life of a multi-millionaire which the african guys do either.

Id have to go for Iran!
I read an article today and it was pretty scary stuff!
Iran are very close to developing nuclear warheads.Ok we have them the USA have more of them than they do McDonalds, personally i dont agree with them full stop cause of wot they do!An example being how many died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the fact that babies are still being born difformed as a result of the radiation etc!Its just wrong!
But the thing that staggered me is that the Iranian president, king or wotever,U know the main man in Iran said'Soon we will know if there is a greater act than the act of martyrdom'!This statement has been portrayed that this man cant wait to get using them!Yes hes as excited as a dog with 2 D!cks at the prospect of using an atom bomb on his enemies!
Oh and the same guy called us and the USA the Greatest Satan!
So id say John Wayne Bush has got his little eye on Iran!! How convenient that most of his army is in theyre back yard eh? ????

i think the american public are fed up of the war in iraq, never mind anywhere else. at this moment there is a woman camped outside george bushes ranch waiting to ask george bush what the real reason was for going into iraq. she lost her son in an roadside ambush over there and i think she started reading into the sketchy evidence of wmd`s and the lack of evidence linking september 11 or international terrorism to iraq and she wants answers. its a huge story over there at the moment.
saddam was a bad bad man but i dont buy the line that we and the yanks went in to liberate the people.
the west has cosied up to a list as long as your arm of some of the worst dictators and some of the iffy-est regimes in the past just as long as they were anti commie and prepared to keep the oil barrels rolling our way. they didnt give a hoot about the human rights abuses commited by the likes of saddam himself, the saudi`s, the apartheid regime in south africa, the chilean general pinochet, the drugs baron and ex cia stooge noriega and the contra`s etc in fact if it was commies on the recieving end they actively backed it!!
i think the far right of the republican party wanted a pro western (and israeli) state in the middle east and thought iraq with its iffy past (kuwait) and population fed up to the back teeth of oppression not to mention massive oil reserves (second only to saudi) was the perfect place. what they didnt count on was that every islamic nutjob has wanted a crack at america for years but has never had a place to get to grips with them on a relatively level playingfield, they drove a few truckbombs into barrack`s in lebanon etc and bombed the warship uss cole but they never really had a situation where america`s military hardwear and technology was negated until iraq with its mixture of scared civilians to hide amongst, porous borders and poor security and policing infastructure arrived and proved to be the ideal place to fight a guerilla war. the middle east is a massive recruiting ground for the fundamentalists who via brainwashing blame the americans for everthing from world poverty to the weather so they have no shortage of nearby volunteers and i fear this is developing into a no - win  vietnam type situation that rolls on for years.
when september the 11th happened i think there was genuine sympathy for america in the middle east and i think this iraq thing has totally washed it down the drain. instead of invading the country they should have sent saddam one of those cigars the c.i.a. sent castro years ago.

The worrying thing is that nuclear warheads today are up to 40-50 times more powerful than those dropped on Hiroshima I believe, scary indeed.  :help
