Nando is a leg end, pure quality

It takes time to settle in a new country

-  i think both our nando and chelski's drogba will be in the top 3 Goal scorers this year (obviously with Henry)

You know what, I have a feeling this season will be a bit different.

Henry - He has been made El CapItan of Arsenal. Viera is out and the Midfield is young. Henry will find himself dropping deep quite a bit as he has a huge responsibility on his shoulders being capitan and he will be involved much more in the MF than last season. Bergkamp will also drop deep as he loves doing that. I think Arsenal  'Might' struggle for goals as they have only Van Persie upfront, but most of their goals will come from MF. Im not so sure Henry will score as many as he has the past seasons.

Drogba - Has a lot to prove. He now has a full pre-season under his belt, he has looked powerful and lethal in pre-season and if he continues to play like he did in the Charity Shield I think he can score a LOT of goals.

Fernando - IMO CIsse will score more than Fernand. Simply because he is faster, more decisive and has more confidence. Fernands lack of confidense at times, will be his downfall.

Just my thoughts ...

PS - Van Nistelrooy might find himself scoring 25 + goals this season.

One decent game and he is top class again?
What about the others that wasn't. Selective amnesia..yes?

Anyway, Morientes did perform better than his average self yesterday. Not to take anything away from Morientes, I feel CSKA goalkeeper is not really up to standard last night.

People keep on saying, morientes need better service. Currently not scoring because bad service. How come than the same logic doesn't apply to other non-performing strikers? Are they not plaque by the same type of service? Or the service is bad only when Morientes is playing. Doesn't make an ounce of sense. Yet you guys are buying it.
Improvement of service will improve any strikers strike rate, whoever you put in front.

Morientes still has a long way to go before being able to establish himself in the premiership. Else we will keep turning a corner again and again (if you still remember this quote).... Nonetheless, an overall improved performance from his usual average. Cheers.

The same logic does apply , all strikers need service ,however the type of service required depends on the strikers style and strengths .e.g the best service for Cisse is a thru ball behind a defence that has suffucient space behind them to allowi cisse to run onto the ball and carry it into the area .
players like Morientes and Crouch on the other hand don't have Cisses lightening pace but do possess excellent arial ability ,therefore the best service for them is a good cross as they break into the area .
And the best service for Baros is the next train that leaves lime street station .
But I'm guessing you don't agree with that ?   ???

I am sick of this, are you a Liverpool Fan or do you eat toffee for breakfast, lunch and dinner?? Give the guy a chance. He is foreign. He needs time. Forlan got no time at the Scum devils and now when he does get time he becomes the top scorer in Europe. I am so angry because when did we allow ourselves to get brainwashed by the papers who write :censored: everyday about different players not being up to scratch when they have only been here for five minutes. Again, I repeat, he is foreign and not every import settles is straight away. Yes, Alonso did but for Morientes, it will take time. He will score goals just like he did last night and just like he always has throughout his career and when he does, I wonder were your comments are going to be then? Support your players, especially those who are making an effort. We all know Benitez won't suffer time wasters so if he believes Mortientes is cool, then believe in him for :censored: sake. I really really hate this fickle attitude where people are slagging him off today and loving him tomorrow. Get behind the team and believe.

GOOD NEWS FOR NANDO:

"Fernando Morientes has been recalled to the Spain squad for Wednesday's friendly international with Uruguay in Gijon.

The Liverpool forward last played for Spain almost a year ago against Venezuela and his recall and that of Sergio Gonzalez of Deportivo La Coruna for the first time in two years are the main novelties in the squad named by coach Luis Aragones"

Hopefully this will be great for his confidence, All good nando baby!!

Can somebody tell me that last night goals were top class? I am not quite agree with this and Morientes's goal was just too bad for me despite it's counted as a 'goal'. Gerrard was too strong than anybody on the field and alonso made alots of accurate and superb passing. Morientes got 1 clear chance but he just put the ball wide. Some of the Sofia's players played well such like the Zadi and goalscorer (sorry i can't remember his name, something like dimitrov).
Reds is the sacred colour before this world was born.

His goals were good enough, I mean he and we would have taken one off his backside last night. It was by no means a great performance from Morientes but it was a big improvement. He got up well for the headed goal and another one which was well saved. He scraped the post when he should have scored but scored shortly after. He was more involved and got into better positions than I have seen him for a while. Also it still is pre-season...

I know he looks sluggish and i know i have pulled him up on this. The question is has he really had any pace, but in English football he looks slow because the pace we play at compared to abroad

Does being a Liverpool fan mean supporting blindly?
Does being a Liverpool fan mean being unrealistic?
Does being a Liverpool fan mean having blind faith?
Does being a Liverpool fan mean not having a critical view?
If the above is true, yes I am not a Liverpool fan. Will not want to be one too. You can choose how you want to support Liverpool, I choose mine. So pissoff somewhere else.

Furthermore, no one is slagging him off. Just saying he may not perform well in the premiership if his attitude doesn't change. He has joined Liverpool for what 6months? Yet people are claiming 5 minutes. You see the illogical thinking that has besetted these dellusinal fans to justify their claims. It is amazing... maybe a study need to be conducted on how sports create delusional people. He need to work his :censored: off, not for fans to make excuse for him (understood?).

"Class are forever, need little time to be in the best form".. Again who made those comments? Why is it taking Morientes so long? Unless... god forbid he has no class? ???!!! Silly comments will get silly retort. Simple as that.

If he manage to make it in the premiership, then it is great. Else he must ship off like everybody else. Will not be given forever to return to form. We have given forever to Gerald Houllier and it is enough. No more undivided unreserving blind faith.. It gets us nowhere.
