the Alien films are absolute class, as you say jonny genuinely scary

the scariest film moment however for me is the bit in american werewolf in london when the bloke is on the tube platform late at night on his own and he can hear something coming down the tunnel (and it sure ain't a train! :wwww ) That bit gets me every time  :sniffle

Yeah wouldn't be to keen on Brazil for a holiday after City of God it not the best advertisement for the country.....Did you see Aliens last night on C4 i promised me self id have an early night and get into work early but i had to stay up and watch it, Considering it was done in the 80s the Aliens still look fantastic today, you be hard pressed to find a more realistic looking creature in any movie even today, everything about them is terrifying, the way they move, the way they breed and cocoon humans, they have two mouths and have Acid for blood, Who ever designed the Alien for Aliens is a pure genius.   :bowdown

Ill also be checkin City of men out if its anything to do with City of God

I've posted this before but you can get the script to Aliens from this site here plus a load of other movie scripts.  You need Adobe PDF reader.

I read the Aliens script from back to front a couple of months back (while I was in work skiving and doing fu*k all one Friday afternoon actually).  A quality film.

City of God was a class film, but I have to say there was something pretty unsettling about it, one of those films where you just don't know what to expect next the whole way through.

Have to agree with others about Aliens, I've seen it dozens of times and it still scares the bollox out of me.

I'm a big fan of the Alien and Predator franchises, so I was really looking forward to the Alien V predator film, but thought it was a bit of a let-down.  It was still an ok film, but there was the potential to do so much more with it.  I think there's talk of a sequel to that.... but that sounds like ripping the @rse out of it to me

Tell you what, while we're on the subject of Aliens and Predator, you wanna check this short 8 minute long film out.

It's called Batman: Dead End.  he's chasing the Joker and at the end, there is a VERY NASTY SURPRISE waiting for him.  Quality.

But if you're talking about quotes, Arnie is the most quotable actor ever, the amount of cheese he spouts in the likes of Predator and Commando is ridiculous, but entertaining at the same time

Don't wake my friend, he's dead tired [Arnie - Commando], absolutely class

I could start a thread on Arnie quotes, but it's an early start tomorrow for me so I better not.  Just a few quick ones...

Get to da chopper [predator]

I like you Sully, that's why I'm going to kill you last [commando]

He had to let off some steam [commando]

What's with this fu.cking tie business?! [predator]

An all-time favourite of mine, which I first saw around the age of 10 - DareDreamer. Very low budget yank film starring Tim Noah. Brilliant.

About four years ago, I was lying in bed awake one night, coudn't sleep for the life of me, and about 02:00am in the morning, a film was starting on BBC2.  I watched it and it was one of the sh!ttest films I've ever seen, BUT SO BAD, I WAS RIVETED BY IT!!!!!

Anyway, after a year or two, I wanted to watch it again for some bizarre reason (don't ask me why).  I searched high and low for this film on the iMDB because I had to know what it was.

Anyway, I found it.  The film is called THE DARK.  This is the official plot summary from iMDB!!!

Something is alive beneath the surface of the graveyard. Something with the power to destroy and the power to heal. One man, a cop, is determined to kill this mysterious creature. Another, a scientist, is determined to capture and save this miraculous being. Stalking the creature in it's subterranean habitat, neither man is aware of the battle they are about to start. A battle for science, survival and revenge.

How good does that sound?  Can you see why I had to watch it?  Read more about it here if you give a sh!t.    :D   :D
