Le tallec - What's the story ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

lets face it when you compare him to say some of the other youngsters - darren potter for example - by staying he'd only ever get a look in when we play the league cup or may be the fa cup for example - but by going on loan he'll get invaluable premiership experience and in a struggling side perhaps he'll have to graft even more and build more physical presence as a result.

i think Rafa would like to give the lad a chance, else he could have sold him on to some French side for a knock down fee as i'm sure someone would have taken him off our hands. i for one would like him to come through and cement a position for himself in the senior squad with regular subs bench or even first 11 appearances.

remember that when we got him he was just a kid and still is -- give him time -- he is still very young

I don't know what the fuss is with Le Tallec, yeah ok he's not a bad player but he isn't good enough to replace players in his position like Garcia, Kewell (on a good day) or other 'playmakers'.  I also wonder why the teams he's been on loan at have never tried to sign him? He's a good player but not as good as Pongolle.

Good luck in Sunderland you Tony :)

I rate ALT actually. Having seen his performances in CL games and the pre season, he did enough. Having said, his performances in those games were indeed better than a few others.

ALT being loan out here and there, is a matter of him requiring to feature in as many games. I like it that he does not wanna rot on the bench but yet let himself be playing at other clubs.

If he be sold, I would certainly be keeping tabs on his improvement. For me, he is a player to watch.

ALT and FSP were the youngsters that excited me when GH brought 'em in. Till now, I still hope they stay at LFC to improve, that's if they can keep their chances.

I think to loan Le Tallec out is a mistake.

Should we not get our right winger, Le Tallec could definately do the job - and to be honest, I'd have much more faith in him that Darren Potter.

He is a player of unquestionable ability, but it's the consistency and temperament that should be in question.
