He might as well go out on loan as i cant see him getting much of a chance this season, especially after what i have seen pre-season he hasnt shown anything.
At least a loan to another prem club might give him a chance to continue playing in the physically demanding league, something i dont think he will ever be a success in.

Le Tallec is still young and he isn't quite ready yet. Therefore a loan deal would be good for him especially at a club like Sunderland where he will be used. I personally thought he'd be used as back up incase we got injuries. But then again a loan deal means he'll play more which is important for his progress.

One positive however is - He's being loaned out to a Premiership club.

Most of the loanings that happened before were back to France which in no disrespect isn't a tougher league then England. I'd like to see all loan signings going to English clubs so that they gain experience and get used to it. Same for Diarra, why loan him out to French clubs and not English clubs? ???

Good move IMO, a season of regular premiership football will do La Tellec no harm what so ever, hopefully he does well for the black cats and he can come back a much improved player.

he won't get much games with us and a season in the premiership with the black cats will get him the necessary experience and exposure. then we will know whether he can hack it in the premiership.
Bill Shankly after beating Everton in the '71 cup semi : "Sickness would not have kept me away from this one. If I'd been dead, I would have had them bring the casket to the ground, prop it up in the stands and cut a hole in the lid."
