Just been given a copy of the latest LFC magazine and it includes an interview with our glorious leader. In the interview he makes the following points
* He has never thought of quitting despite the graffiti and the death threats.
* He has a strong faith still in his players and significantly " the board have had faith in me "
* He feels that the crticism of him has been very unfair although he accepts that criticism comes with the job. However he points out that there is a saying in France that translates as "everything in excess is derisory " ( so now we know )
* He feels that his achievements have not been recognised by his critics...
"these people were very quiet when we were successful. They never said how good it was when we were winning trophies.I know some papers and TV stations call them when we are having problems. But what have we done between 1999 and 2003? I'll tell you: we have won 6 trophies and we won them against Man Utd (twice) , Arsenal and Bayern Munich "
* We have established a good record in Europe
* In terms of professionalism the club has been put into the 21st century
* We have had a terrible season in terms of injuries " I just don't think I had the weapons to compete this season !"
* He cannot believe how some people think that Liverpool are boring to watch "Look at the number of goal attempts we have !"
* He doesn't believe in publicly bolicking his players, preferring to do that in private "there is no point in hurting them publicly when their friends and their families are going to be hearing what I've got to say !"
* He's already preparing for next year and the years beyond !
So he has come out fighting recently , with this and the t#s#ers comments.
Clearly he feels he is the right man for the job and seems prepared to stay on despite his critics !
What are your views lads and lasses ?
Do you believe the spin or is he talking bollox ?
