I know its very easy to pick up on snippets of a post and highlight issues to dissagree with but I remember the glory days(I was 8 in 77) and never ever thought I would be around to see us conquer europe again,I still cannot get my head around the fact that we actually did it and in the fashion we did.I would love our club to lift the PL trophy this year(I think we have a very good chance)however nothing could compare to our night in Istanbul IMO.
I dont understand where this "but its the league thats important" comes from, its very important, however winning the CL is far more gratifying.
I have a director at work who has a chelski season ticket and believe me he's :censored: off we beat them, big time,in fact it appears to have ruined their season.YNWA

I agree, gratifying, but is that in the context of how it was won, or that we won it?

Give me the choice Neil, i'll take the League. It's harder to win, and takes a lot more work from a team to win than any Euro competition ever will. For me at the moment, I can only think of one feeling that would top winning the Euro Cup, and that would be winning the league. It's been far too long since we won it, and to be the champs of England again would be fantastic.  :)

I know what you mean Neil, I was 6 in 77 and already indoctrinated by my dad & older brother about growing up red. I think given the choice I'd rather win the league than the CL (partially because it's been so long since we last did it) but this year's CL triumph perhaps surpasses everything due to the way in which we did it

but we still need to get up there as SERIOUS title contenders every season at home, and until we do can that then we are very much still a "work-in-progress"
