Headlines in to-days Daily mirror!!
houllier calls ex- Liverpool players "t#s#ers"
Gerald Houllier rounded angrily on the men who have questioned his ability to restore the club to super -power status. "there are 25-28 of them" who earn a living speaking to the media, fumed gh, there are two or three *connards* (french for "t#s#ers") who are often quoted. the ex- players, critics of gh include Ian st john, John toshack, souness, Mark lawrenson, and Paul walsh. I think gh has well over stepped the mark on this one!! he has some gaul to berate some of LFCs greatest, and most loyal players. he has lost any sympathy he might have gained (due to the death threats) he has just "shot himself in the foot on this one". I wonder if he thinks we are all "t#s#ers" too?

Those ex players have every right to doubt Houlliers ability. Most of them make a living in the media and are paid to give their opinion. If GH doesnt like criticism then he should get a less high profile job.Unlike them Houllier has made millions while dragging down Liverpool fc.He should take his millions and p.iss off.Give me the ex players any day.

Houlliers reaction simply highlights the fact that, 1- He and the team are underachieving enormously and, 2- he is under immense pressure. Don't forget those ex-players who served the club so well are probably hurting like the rest of us to see the team play so miserably. If GH is that confident in his ability to lead us back out of the doldrums he should be able to rise above criticism from ex-players. Maybe he should take a moment to listen to some of it.

boll##ks to that, graeame souness right, he's in a job so surely he shouldnt criticise anyone, he should just get on with f##king up his job in hand as normal. So if he criticises houllier why shouldnt houllier cricise him.

It's the final act of the condemned man,to scream abuse at the jury, followed by the exit door.

Fair point - Souness didn't exactly set the world on fire as Anfield boss. I still think GH should just get on with the job. He sounds more like a politician clinging to power these days. Always putting a spin on things + manipulating the facts. The staged Anfield mosaic 'Allez Allez' is a classic example of this. Its a joke.

Back the f##king manager for once.

No wonder this clubs falling apart.

Everything the fans once stood for is changing. Most of this sounds like a spurs forum now!!!

Get with it.

They are all t#s#ers as far as i'm concerned as none of them can manage there way out a paper f##king bag and they have the nerve to slag off our club. Barnesy, Rushie and Hanson don't do it... even Dalglish keeps a lid on things even though you can see he'd not happy. They are the people who count... not the mindless critics.

I mean Paul Walsh for f##ks sake... who's he? Hardly one of the games greats is he.

Some of you are obviously not old enough to remember these players?..they were true professionals, graced with the ability to play attractive, and skillful, some of these players knew what it meant to wear the "red shirt" and what it meant to us fans to see them give 100% every game!! souness helped us to a european cup final victory, a player blessed with a great midfield engine, and a ferocious reputation as a hard man in the midfield. John toshack a great LFC servant, and formed one of the best strike partnerships with Keegan,Lawrenson another excellent centre back, some of the signings gh has made are not fit to clean these players boots!! i can understand how these players feel...they "feel" for our club, for way we have declined under a  manager who does not know what his best team is?...i had the honour to watch those so called "t#s#ers" (as gh called them)play and never in 100yrs will gh aquire players of their ability coz, he cant reconise players with quality!!...for gh to come out with a statement like that says it all, the man will blame anyone for his own short comings, he should resign now!! before he makes a bigger fool of himself than he already has.
