I just got Champ Man. 00/01 in HMV for £10!!! Carragher is still in the Youth team, we had Gary Mac, Heskey was good and we didn't have Riise yet. However, my dilemma is this. This was the last CM game that really worked well as a multiplayer, and it would be so cool to play a multiplayer game with modern players that didn't take half an hour per match. So do I update this and lose the original players, or do I update it, which would take about a week of solid suinting at numbers? ???

You go on a site and download a patch.

You can do multiplayer?

Of course. In my first year of Uni, me and some mates used to take control of our favorite teams and do all-nighters all the time. Through in a PSone and a copy of Brian Lara cricket (set to a five day test match between England and Australia), a giant packet of Big D dry roasted and a couple of packets of Um-bongo and you have yourself a killer time. If you were Liverpool, you were always guarenteed to get Denilson. If you can't do it, here's how:

When you get to the screen that says:           First name         Surname          Team
                                                                  Dave                 Smith          Liverpool

Just go to the bottom of the page and add another name, and as many as you want.

Yeah i was addicted to Sensible World of Soccer in my teenage years on the Amiga and also Championship manager (92-93 I think). Cannon Fodder was quality aswell.

I fondly remember Wonderboy and 2 player Double Dragon on the Master System. Also World Soccer where you can be the Great Britain football team  ???  :)

I like Rpg's now, although not as many good ones as there used to be, and really got into KOTOR as i love Star Wars anyway.

Yeah most of the Xbox 360 demos are 'in-game' software that is playable. (albeit running on two macs at the time of E3), but the xbox 360 is more or less complete and just going through it's final testing stages.

We went to a Sony conference to Malta about a month ago, and they showed us pretty much the same running demos for PS3 as in the E3 show.
At one of the aftershow dinners, I was told by a one of the suits that about 90% of the playstation demos were mock ups and renders (especially Killzone!! that demo was so scripted!!)

The only proper running demo (one with playable code) was the getaway demo... but get this.. the demo was actually running at 3 frames per second!!
So what they did was take a screenshot of each frame and then bunged it onto an avi and ran it normal speed!! lol!

Nah, but when it comes out next year.. the PS3 will be great.
(The XBOX 360 will be great too, so i'm getting that one in November!!!)

Going back a bit further, to the days when i first started gaming.. the Spectrum zx!!

My very first computer was the spectrum zx 48k.  It had rubber keys!  You had to have your own tape deck that you connected to it!
It was just ace!  As soon as my cousin brought it over to ours that fateful summer of 83, i was hooked!! :)

Anyone remember these speccie games??

Sabrewolf
Heads over heals
The Dizzy games
Chuckie Egg
Bruce Lee
Manic Miner
Monty Mole
Jet Set Willy
Combat School
Renegade
Target Renegade
Barbarian
Jetpack
Exolon
Slapshot

Haha.. i could go on for ages!!

The spectrum had the amazing capabilites of having only a maximum of 3 colours on the screen at any one time!!

More specs for the revolution came out today and I've got to say that it's kicking :censored: in the gaming/hardware standards department. Now they are saying that different types of controllers are going to be released for different people. If you're a little kid, a novice gamer or someone looking for retro, you can buy a controller with just a d-pad and four buttons (a la SNES). If you're the standard gamer, you can get the one which will basically be like the X360 and the PS3 controllers. And if you are the insane entrepenur, gaming 24/7 innovationist you can get the controller that comes in two seperate hand held pieces or the one that is completly voice/touchscreen opperated.

It is now also going to be WI-FI capable so that you can wirelessly connect with DS/Revolution Gamers around the world and the console will have it's own expandable memory which will allow for downloadable sound/graphics improvements.

It is also being reported that Namco, Capcom and Sega are going to release the rights to their back catalogues so that they can become downloadable on the Revolution.

Yea Half Life is Tops.

was waiting for my gardution photos from Boots earlier so I popped in to read some magazines in WH Smith (oh, we all do it!! :p :D ) anyway, I was reading Max Power to be honest, but I noticed there is actually a magazine dedicated to retro gaming. I cant recall the name and I could'nt look in it as it was sealed :( .  But I think it said like Nintendo, Sega, etc; at the top, basically letting you know what Formats it was catering for.
If I se it again I will clock the name and let you all know........Unless one of you lot already know what I am taking about??
