He was a terrible signing, and everybody was saying it was a bargain

First thing's first. It is not Kewell's injuries that are the problem, it's his p!sspoor attitude that ticks me off. Xabi Alonso broke his ankle against Chelsea and we were told that he wouldn't re-apear until the new season, but he fought hard and showed tremendous dedication in physio to be around for the Juve games. As for Djibril Cisse, now there's determination, he could have lost his funking leg, but he dusted himself off and got back on his horse and his passion for the game and our EXCELLENT physios got him back to score those two on the last day of the season.

Harry Kewell will stub his two and take three weeks off, and probably demand a free trip to the Seychelles to recouperate. Like I said earlier, you don't find Armani in this bargain basement. £5m was too much and all the Leeds fans are laughin their merry little heads off at the saps who, under the sage like guidence of Gerard "he's the next Zidane/let's buy all the players Arsene Wenger doesn't want" Houllier bought this lump and relieved them of his wages.

He has so many different parts of his body to clutch now, he's set for life. Unlike someone like Luis Garcia who will play through the pain, if Harry so much as sneezes, he can just clutch his knee/thigh/groin/back/shoulder/neck/foot/ankle/ribs/head/ :censored:/wrist or hand and hobble off to go and sit down with a cup of tea and watch the free money roll in.

If he wants to leave, I'll even hold the door open for him and give him a wave to send him on his merry way. I still hope he can prove me wrong this season, but I won't get my hopes up.[/quote]

I challenge you to play with a stangulated hernia. This type of problem is not something you just grit your teeth and play through you moron.

Like I said...hicktown rednecks talking through their butts. In fact there is probably more muscle between their ears than anywhere else!!!

Get over yourself pal!!!  :talktothehand

What exactly makes me a "hicktown redkneck"?

The fact that I don't like seeing millions of pounds going to a man who essentially a very expensive ornament for the Physio room. Like I said, it's his attitude, not mine, that is the problem.

The fact that Harry Kewell shows about as much dedication to fitness, as a Hippo does to tip-toeing.

I have said many times that I hope this season will be "his season", but can you honestly see that happening? Sorry for being a pescamist, but all I expect is more dissapointment.

LOL Lionheart,

despite the constant bagging of kewell on this forum, a lot of the points are valid. He does seem to get injured a lot. he does not display the determination and passion for football that fans like to see. he has not lived up to his price tag and wages - i challenge you to deny any of those points.

As for injuries - when you are injured, you are injured.. simple as that. I don't know much about hernia's but no one is suggesting he play. for most of us are lamenting the fact that he is injured again. who you can blame for the injury is beside the point. harry won't be playing for a while. He has been provided plenty of oppurtunities to play (and we know he can play) but a lot of the time it 'appears' he cannot be bothered. how many other players, especially foreign players would have been afforded the amount of time/chances harry has had ? for the wages he gets?? not many i reckon.

personally would love to see harry as a star and kop favourite for LFC, but realistically i think not. time will tell.

Have any of you thought LFC (and their medical staff) might have some responsibility in all of this. A hernia (do we make an assumption here and say it's an inguinal hernia??) is a serious problem that requires surgical intervention. It is not something that should be taken lightly.

Why hasn't the LFC medical staff reviewed Kewell's condition prior to this?? He was under the knife only a few weeks ago, why wasn't the problem rectified then?? Who is the LFC medico?? He's the guy who needs the bollicking, not Kewell.

You guys need to take a big deep breath and rather than arguing from a basis of ignorance (something a lot of you seem admirably qualified in doing, which makes you nothing more than a lot of hicktown rednecks), give the lad a few weeks to recouperate and then get out on the park and prove himself.

I've never been a Kewell fan but I despise people who babble on about things they know nothing about. Grow up!!! :veryangry  :veryangry  :veryangry  :veryangry

kewell got his hernia from getting out of bed.

i will echo a banner i saw at anfield some time ago ''no more expensive mistakes''

Lionheart, if you're just going to go around insulting people because they don't agree with you, you're in for a rough time mate. If you can't even have the decency to appreciate our views on certain subjects, you aren't going to have any respect here. Anyway, are you Harry Kewell's mum, or something? How much has he payed you to defend him?

Ahhhh Ace, so you can be as critical and abusive as your little heart desires, but heaven help anyone who pulls you up on those views...or worse, gives you a bit of stick back.

That makes you a hypocrit. :glare:

Grow up Lionheart.  Every one of your posts I've seen is insulting.  Why are you contributing to a forum where you think everyone is below you anyway?  Are you immersing yourself in football because your cricket team is getting soundly beaten?

Hey, call me on anything I say by all means, but if you can't take the critisism of your little pal Harry, then this place ain't for you. All you've done is insult people. At least I make some valid points about his rotten attitude. If you love Harry so much, by all means express your views and comment on the views of others but hurling insults won't make you any friends.

This makes you an idiot.  :rasp

if i was a bird i'd say ''yes please''   :D

but to be honest kewell will be gone this year, unless he gets some miracle skills cure, and starts performing.

maybe he should see paul mckenna, on that show on sky tv called ''I CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE'',  that might work  :D

I hope Kewell gets well soon and then we can off-load him to anyone daft enough to take the nancy!
