Just checking the various reports that Jimmy F-H is looking for a new challenge next season due to the squad rotation at Chelsea. I reckon he would be an ace signing for 2-3 years, would give us an additional 18-25 goals a season, is proven at this level and is a real winner. Look he may not be French, but that is just not a good enough reason to turn ya nose up at him GH! What u lot reckon?

He's cracking on a bit so i can see the point about not being a long term signing. Has loads of experience though and i would bring something different to the squad. I thought the same thing (about signing him) when i saw the story on teletext.
I also think that Hassailbank wouldn't be a bad signing.
As Stu rightly says, he is not a long term answer (he's 31) but we could get two good seasons from him and he would give us some extra options.
I think we have a lot of youth in attack, and while Owen has huge experience, we all know about his injury problems. I think that we could do with some additional experience up front to allow Baros and Pongolle mature. I think Baros in particular would learn a lot from Hassailbank.
Jimmy Floyd would be a cracking signing. He scores goals every where he goes, i remember he was top scorer in Spain despite finishing bottom of the league with Athletico. A very physical player with lots of attitude. If only Heskey had Hasselbanks mentality he would be awesome!
