I'd meet you Leon if I was going, but I've ordered Tomkins' book and I expect it will arrive for the weekend.  I'm trying not to go out boozing for the next fortnight as I've nearly given myself liver damage over the last month, plus I need to pay my holiday off in a couple of weeks, so a boring weekend in it is for me. :(

Looks like we will see our big ears.

Steven Gerrard is expected to start Liverpool's opening pre-season friendly at Wrexham on Saturday and as an added bonus for those fans travelling to the Racecourse Ground the European Cup will also be on show.
After sensationally pledging his future to the club earlier this week Liverpoolfc.tv can reveal that Gerrard WILL line-up against the Robins 24 hours after putting pen to paper on his new deal with the Reds.

We can also confirm that the skipper will parade the Champions League trophy prior the match.

Gerrard's participation plus the appearance of the most prestigious piece of silverware in club football will hopefully guarantee a bumper day at the box office for the cash-strapped League Two club.

Wrexham's acting Chief Executive Cliff Finch says: "Gerrard's decision to stay at Liverpool is a huge boost for them and we are delighted that our fans will have the chance to see him in action on Saturday.

"It promises to be a big day for all concerned but we can't stress enough that it's an all-ticket game and there will be no cash sales on the day. Fans must purchase their tickets by close of business on Friday evening."

Tickets for Liverpool fans are still available, priced £15 (adults) and £7 (children & senior citizens), and they can be purchased via the Credit Card booking line - 0870 220 2151 - or in person at the Anfield ticket office, which is open until 5.30pm on Friday.

2 more pre season fixtures announced:

Liverpool have added two more friendly fixtures to their pre-season programme and both games will revive memories of our glorious Champions League winning campaign.
The Reds will meet Bayer Leverkusen in Lustenau, Austria, on Saturday 16 July, and Olympiacos in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, on Saturday 23 July.

The squad will be based at a training camp in Zurich during this time and will make a flying visit back to these shores for the Champions League first qualifying round 2nd leg tie against TNS.

No tickets will be available from the Anfield box office for either of the two friendly fixtures.
