Look at this table I have found which as been updated according to all of the results from Season 1, Day 1, right up to when we beat Aston Villa a fortnight back.

Using the old two points for a win system, this table shows that EVERTON the Blueshites have accumulated more points than any other team.

Unless I'm mistaken, they have earned 31 more points than Liverpool in their time using this system. So unless we finish 31 points ahead of them next season, this statistic may stay put for a couple of years at least yet.

Everton have been around since 1878, we were only on the scene in 1892.

The competition started in 1888/89, and we weren't actually in the top division until several years after we were founded, giving everton 5 or so years longer to get more points. Our GD is far superior too which would suggest that if you take away the extra 5 years Everton have had we would be well ahead.

Interesting one, Jonnymac.

In all fairness, historically Everton have always been one of the really big English clubs.

I think that prior to Ferguson coming to UTD they had a better league record than the Mancs.

One thing it shows is that historically Liverpool is by far the best football city in the UK, quite astounding for a bunch of thiefs and dole bludgers :laugh:

Everton have accrued 12 more seasons than Liverpool, 14 more than Arsenal and 22 more than the Mancs so obviously they are at the top

It took them 384 more games to get the 31 points, though!!!!!AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! :laugh:

i noticed even though they have spent 11 more seasons and had 300 odd more games than us we have still won more games than them! they have just drawn far more games than us
