Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

6 million for Crouch? No way, lets do ourselves a favour and pay 2. Here's how:
We buy Kuyjt AND Crouch, paying about 10 & 6 mill respectively. We then go to Baros and say "listen here you little turd, if you want to sit out your contract then fine. Infront of you are Cisse, Morientes, Kite (I'm gonna stick to this spelling from now on) and Crouch. Throw in ping-pong if you like for good measure. Now, if you want to play reserve team football for the whole season in World Cup year then crack on me old son. Read our lips, YOU WILL NOT GET A SINGLE GAME. Alternatively, find yourself a club and get the best deal you can. The price is 2.5 million.
I reckon he's got to be on minimum 30k per week which is 1.5 mill for the final year of his contract. Add that to the 2.5 mill transfer fee and suddenly the streaky tall fella looks chucked in at 2 mill.
Added to all of that we rid ourselves of our last remaining sh!tehouse and start to really build a team. Go on Rafa, call his bluff like you called Gerrards.

Yeah i like the idea. Maybe a few problems. what happens if baros plays brilliantly in the world cup and qualifiers. won't people start criticising LFC for leaving him out of the first team? as well in the case of injuries we may need a quality player for crucial games, i think it would be silly not to use him then.

however if this threat works and he leaves for 2.5 mill than i'd be happy.

Rafa has to spend big now and bring in 2-3 real good quality players, for our reassurance he has to.
I will not be very bloody happy if Figo is paraded today, I want to see 2 players of quality who we know, Ballack maybe?
I am sure Rafa was prepared for this situation long before it arose, and he will have someone lined up as a replacement he's not that stupid afterall he was writting match analisis during the penalty shoot out in Istanbul.
But if this all goes pear shaped next season and we are fastly loosing our identity there will be a major backlash from the fans.
Hope that there will be a player brought in who can change a game in a flash and raise the team when the chips are down. And I will be extremly happy.
p.s. Told you he was leaving Mick :D
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Yep,I reckon Rafa's got a surprise(or two) up his sleeve, although let's just hope it's not Crouch!!!!!! (Kuyt hopefully or Ballack)

With the money we'll get from the sale of you-know-who then maybe three or four top class players will also be Anfield bound......

Totally agree about Ballack, i'm not certain but isn't he supposed to be in the last year of his contract ?
He would fill the gap left by Gerrard no problem, and would imo score more goals. Am not sure Rafa will go for a big money buy like that though...i hope he does.

Rosicky would be my choice,  Dortmund are in dept aswell so it would be easy to get him.
