Eventual home-grown cm solution? - Mannix, potter and welsh

Obviously Rafa will be going after a few players to shore up the centre-mid position, but maybe he shouldn't spend so much on CM so quickly.

David Mannix, the most promising prospect at the academy, has begun to train at Melwood now that he is fully healthy. He could be a dynamic player. Anybody know anything more about him?

Also, John Welsh's progress to the first team was blocked a bit by Stevie. Now that he's gone, why not give Welsh some opportunities at CM?

Also, Darren Potter was decent last season when he played, so he could get some time.

By not blowing a fortune on CMs, that will open up more avenues to spend for Rafa- like a few backs and a striker or two. What do you all think?
