Is that confirmed by official site or is a newstory that is part of offical media watch ?
I think its a good signing if true and bit of bonus being free, certainly makes a change to see so many going out on a free

Christ, if it was the media watch i got it from then I'd have stated the source as whatever the link on the media watch was, and not stated that it was from the official site. Thought that would be obvious.

whats peckin' at me is..
these frees/loans/prospects etc are great business by lfc. i.m.o and there doesnt seem to have been a large outlay so far in terms of wages/signing costs and all the agents sweetners and backhanders.
but,
dont we have 3 days until CL registation of squads?
surely the squad entered for the 05/06 tournament is what 24 players? might be wrong..
my point is.. who are the QUALITY additions that will make a difference NOW. and when (2 business days left) will they arrive? in time to be registered.
unless tomorrow we have a sudden influx of say..4 or 5 faces which i cant see happening, i think we will struggle to stay in it til the january window opens. Mind you i fully EXPECT messrs. kewell, baros nunez traore AND morientes
to be completely refreshed and transformed into the talents they are.
maybe im being cynical but, with what weve got (winning it once was a massive achievement) defending it and winning it again aint gonna happen with this and the slightly upgraded version of our squad.
im not advocating the galactico route and sign whoever sells the most press cuttings, but we actually NEED one or two BIG players to complement all these kids and prospects and the spine of the team... sorry to garble on but im gettin twitchy and bored!!! :help

i hope Rafa's just playing his cards very sensibly for now. Straight after the final it was widely acknowledged that we had somthing in excess of £20m to spend on new talent, so why not get the loans/frees out of the way first instead of splashing the cash wildly and risk driving up the prices of players we're interested in, keep the selling teams guessing - why not? After all is Drogba really worth £26m?

This close season the transfer market seems to have reverted to previous levels of insanity where as last year it was really only Chelsea and perhaps Barcelona who were really big buyers. As long as Rafa knows who he is after and they want to really play for us then i'm sure he's playing the whole transfer game really well to make sure we get the best deal out there

Remember this is a guy who never got what he wanted at Valencia - i'm confident he knows what he wants and now that he is at the centre of the transfer process and in more control than he ever was at Valencia he will get it right we all just need to be patient. Most of all he inspires confidence in the players he goes after - lets not forget that convincing Alonso and Morientes to switch countries 2 years before a World Cup would not have been all that easy - he knows what he is doing

i think Rafa is being shrewed with his signings.....he's bringing in the young guys and Bosmans in first....what better way to bargain for the big guns when we have got youth as a back up. Rafa is no mug and won't be taken to the cleaners by anyone over transfer fee's
