i managed to get onto the site this is all it says:

Steven Gerrard is set to stay at Anfield after talks between him and Rick Parry ended on a successful note earlier today. Steven's agents SFX were believed were believed not be involved in this meeting although that cannot be confirmed.

SFX announced today that talks between Liverpool had stalled and were unlikely to be re-opened. However after Rafa Benitez said that he wanted Steven Gerrard at Anfield for life and Rick Parry said that the club did not want Steven to go, it looks the two of them have got their wish.

We expect an announcement sometime this week that will see Steven Gerrard remain at Anfield.

i aint counting my chickens yet but if its all true and gerrard has basically ignored his agent after his "unlikely that talks will reopen" statement i think it says a lot about steven gerrard and his love for this club. a lot and i mean a lot of players these days would just take the money and run. if he does stay he`s showing loyalty is more important than money and i`d be very proud if a fellow scouser from one of the traditionally poorer areas of the country makes such a stand.
the press will be speachless - they cant stand value`s like that.

I hope its true. If he ignores his agent and stays, then good. It's really never stevie's fault. His agent has really complicated things. If he stays, then I'll definitely change my sig back.

I'm sorry JBG. I was just kidding about the projectile-throwing thing. But, I'll throw stuff at whoever's complicating matters and the media for creating false rumours. :angry:

me that took some reading, i'm knackered now

. I think people are jumping the gun a little here. There have been no statements or real quotes saying Stevie is leaving it's just been based on tabloid :censored:

and hearsay.

Lets get off his back until we know he's going then we can have a pop at him if it's for money or other reason. I think he will stay talks break down all the time but we don't hear about them it's just that this is so high profile that every journo's trying to get a story when one isn't actually there.

Let's face it some of the supposed quotes are laughable at best.

Skipper, no need to apologise to me. Chelsea fans disgraced themselves over Anders Frisk and some dolt in the Kop made a fool of himself by throwing a mobile phone at Wayne Rooney. I just don't want any Liverpool fan to be associated with that kind of carry on.

hmm seems the hysteria over gerrard is expected to end by tomorrow i sure hope so im bored by now over this continued speculation all year and i hope we get a positive answer tomorrow instead of this going on all week

Yea JBG. I was out of line though for saying that though. I would NEVER do that to stevie. He's my favorite player and I wouldnt resort to that level. Plus, he'll stay and everyone will be relieved. It has to end. The speculation and rumors are not helping my patience.

The web is singing with rumours tonight that Stevie is staying after a meeting this evening with Parry and Benitez at Melwood. The story has it SFX were not present.

YNWA.tv is reporting this story on their front page.
