In all honesty, Talksport is a station I often have to listen to in the office, and right now, 1pm to 7pm, idiotic bluenose Mike Parry is the presenter, and he simply sesationalises everything and talks total rubbish.

Parry has just mooted Man United as a possible move for Gerrard, and anyone with any knouse knows this is just to prompt response and get the calls coming in.

Seriously Leon , sure the press talk a lot of shi'te but on this issue virtually every single one of them and all the tv channels were filing identical reports .As is often said "there's no smoke without fire" ,I feel members were more than justified in discussing this issue , and just in case you haven't noticed 'cause you never read the press Gerrard STILL hasn't signed a new contract.

Did'nt he sign a 5 year deal two season ago, when he urged Michael owen to do the same, and came out in a tv press conference with Rick Parry to say he's signed and ended all the speculation??

Think so.

Get your facts straight, he probably has 3 season left on his current deal, the speculation is all about a 20,000 squid a week pay rise.

I think their is two years left on it mate, and the problem is if you wait till their is only one year left on it then you risk another MO situation, or even worse a Mcmoneyman on a :censored:

Ok 4 years instead of 5! it is of no consiquence.

I say sell gerrard, and lets bid 25m for Ronaldhinio. I bet Rafa knows Barca Well, and we bought Garcia from them.

Lets put all our eggs in one basket this season. You know it is a safe bet. we need a superstar. watching him in the cofederations cup, he was awesome. just what we need. quickfooted, intelligent, has vision, skillful. Its not out of the question!

we'll be good enough, with Ronaldhinio and the other players we have got thus far , to breeze the league and champions league!

so who do you think rafa should go after with the gerrard money? 30m+ we could go after some top quality players and i would like to see rafa go after another top quality winger such as duff or joaquin who we might actually be able to get with that money. we could also use the money to get lots of decent players and rebuild the squad but i would prefer some high quality players

Well in the spanish market theres Joaquin whose already snubbed a £15M bid from Mancs

Theres also Riquelme who is on loan at Villareal.

Theres main one i think he will go for is Pablo Aimar. Im sure most of you have heard of him. Little Argie fela. He was Rafa's own personal Gerrard at Valancia and he really is world class all over. I hope i dont offend anyone by saying this but hes as good if not better than Gerrards and hes said on a few occassions that hed love to re unite with his old boss whom he won the league with.

Theres Van der meyde from Inter whos now out of favour.

Theres also Esteban Cmabiasso who playes for Inter but i think is part owned still by Real.

Im sure if he really wanted to he could convince Fernando Torres also but looking realistic i would have to say

Vicente, Aimar or Joaquin could figure should SG keave

I would have also said Mohammed Sissoko. Hes 18 Ghanaian and is as fast as Henry. But somehow Everton have apparently snapped him up. And guess who signed him at Valencia? Thats right Rafa.

Lets not forget the turk Emere Belozoglu has yet to reveal whoich English club he has chosen.
