SG would never insult RB's intelligence over who he thinks he can sign. Besides SG is not stupid enough to try that. Its obvious from the Zenden Conference that RB wants him to stay after all he said he wants him to suceed him eventually as manager. I think this is a combination of spanish false reports beign leaked to damage the relationship between RB and SG. And his SFX company + agents were all in on it. Real Madrid are currently looking for the first Galactico and they want SG they know all their stars are aging and the last thing they need apart form the Chelseas money machine challanginf them in Europe is the nreley risen Liverpool so naturally the come after SG. Unfortunatley this has gone to far. Its maybe possible to still keep him but i wouldnt put money on it.

Rafa is not stupid, 3 of the 4 hes just signed are real "crackers" as describeed on SKy sports news. And hes promised 3 more by the end of the week. Thats 7 players in the spance of a week. Are you happy now steven?

Rafael Benitez has today confirmed he has signed four new players ahead of the start of next season - with the promise of two or three more to come before the end of the week.
Dutch star Bolo Zenden was officially unveiled as a Liverpool player this afternoon after completing his free transfer from Middlesbrough and he could make his debut in Saturday's friendly at Wrexham.

Benitez also revealed the club have now completed the signing of goalkeeper Jose Reina from Villareal while Mark Gonzales has signed from Albacete and young right back Antonio Barragan has arrived from Sevilla.

The Liverpool boss said: "We have today introduced Bolo Zenden as a Liverpool player but we have also signed Jose Reina, the best goalkeeper in Spain, Mark Gonzales, the best player in Chile and Antonio Barragan.

"We will be signing two or three more players this week."

SG needs to speak, why today when he went into Melwood didnt he take the time to speak to media or even at lunchtime to give his point ? he could of done this all along, he has kept silent through out. Even at the interviews after the CL Final his only words were ..." Its looking gud " or " How can i leave after this ...? " He didnt say I am staying fullstop !.
SG on the 25th of May became 4th Liverpool player to lift the European Cup, he will never be held with the same asteam as E Hughes, P Thompson or G Souness, i have never once heard these players talk about leaving for money ? or messing Liverpool FC the way SG has !! Being offered a contract a three differents stages of the season !!! He needs to get some balls and speak out, me as a die hard Red, wanna hear it from him, not his Agents !!! So cmon SG !!!!!!!!!

can't understand why:

1. parry can't get the contract out fast enough when it is obvious sg wanted to stay after cl victory

2. stevie is griping about the offer not being tabled fast enough.

3. stevie is not out clarifying when rumours are rife (or are they rumours at all?)

4. stevie is allowing sfx to wreck havoc amongst the club if he really loves it

5. stevie doesn't trust anybody but himself, not even rafa.

6. stevie is trying to influence everything under the sun

7. agents behave like pimps

8. agents shouldn't all be castrated

Im not syaing that stevie said this just speculating to what the alleged bust could have been about. Rick Parry has said money is not a issue so im slightly confused to what the bust up would be about I can imagine it would be about the delay in talks as I dont see that as a reason to call off talks.

Perhaps he was simply asking for a ridiculous amount per week which im certain his agnets told him to do owing to all the hype surrounding new possible teams. This is normal practice between agents and players to get a a better deal. But RP wasn not buying into it. Concequently it went to far and now negotiations have stopped. Im not even thinkingn about it anymore. Im just looking forward to some new signings.

I think I read somewhere that he was seeking assurances on his playing position - but Rafa wanted the freedom to play him where he felt he needed him, depending on the game

I dont think rafa would have said about the other new players, if all this sh.it had not have happened this morning, I feel a bit more reassured now after seeing and hearing rafa than I did this morning.
After having 3 arguements with my mum today, the last one she made me realise that its not the end of the world if he does leave and if NO player wants to play for Liverpool F.C. well basiclly they arnt worth crying over.
Exciting week ahead anyway wonder who these 3 mystery players are :cool:

I hope to god Crouch is not one of them and I will be happy :buttrock

1) Milan Baros is sold to Lyon
2) Dirk Kuyt signs
3) Gabrielle Milito Signs
4) Pablo Aimar is signed

Lynds - If what Rafa said is true, then we can expect 6-7 signings in the FIRST week of the transfer market being open, with another 2 months left. I expect Rafa will not stop until the money has run out - even then, he may look for loan deals. Just as long as Stevie doesn't do an Owen, and leave at the last minute!

Think about this.....If we let Gerrard go,nothing left but just the stinky bank notes. Gerrrad is apparently one of the best midfielder now and it's a major boost if he decide to stay with us. I want nobody else but Gerrard. Yes,some may just insist that we can bring in some world class players if Gerrard is being sold but no points for this because Gerrard's the brightest world class act. So far the lesson was Juan Veron at Mancs's affair.

I dont think Rafas going to spend until theres nothing left. Hes bound to get one or two players in the gerrard deal. Most likely Juan Fran who will come in straight on the left wing.

Is Upson english ?

We still might another 3 players are coming. Plus we could still get 1 or 2 by the time the transfer window shuts, we need players registered by wednesday though, those who will play in the CL qualifiers.
