Liverpool have already rejected an informal approach to brin MO back and Figo would come on a free anyway( the issue with him is negotiating wages), and as for Guti, well he is only just a fringe player. Hes ok but Rafa has other ideas. This deal will go for nothing less than £30Mil + a young player (JuanFran who rafa tried to sign in jan)

Well personally Woof i think we would have dominated the 90s more if we had more Perms among the players but ive always been a fashion victim
Seriously Keegan left it was doom and gloom and looked what happened, Owen going last year was major blow and we still ended up as Champions of Europe
We dont even know if StevieG is going but if he does it aint the end of the world

I hope the talks restart and a deal is done.  I want Stevie to stay.  This situation has gone far enough.  There are betting odds on Stevie now.

Real - evens
Liverpool - 2-1
Chelsea - 5-2
Barca - 20-1
AC Milan - 33-1
Man U - 33-1

It's getting absolutely ridiculous.
You'll Never Walk Alone

RIP Phil

For me I want one of two things to happen:

1. Stevie stays but shuts his gob and commits the next 4 or 5 years to Liverpool, end of. No whinging, no "Whos the man", no "We'll sees". He stays, pulls his weight and does his job.

2. Stevie leaves (preferably for abroad), we get decent money for him and it is spent wisely. We have no more superstars whinging and we become a proper team again.

Both scenarios are fairly acceptable to me.

Nobody can seriously blame Rick Parry for this situation.

He helped us to win the European Cup for a fifth time. He brought to us Rafa Benitez. He resisted the temptation of whoring with different moneybag offers. He pretty much kept our financial and spiritual independence and also negotiated a way through the building of a new stadium.

Parry's contribution has been immense.

So has Steven Gerrard's, but it is Steven Gerrard who wants away.

Rick Parry has a responsible job to do. As a businessman he is respected throughout the football and commercial world. He knows what we can and cannot offer. Do you think that if there were options to pursue he wouldn't have looked into it? Steven Gerrard is a player. Players think in terms of a lifespan that finishes at 34 or so. That's all he's got in his head in the final analysis. Parry is the custodian of an organisation that has been in existence for over 100 years, that's where he's coming from.

Do you think he is involved in some sort of macho bullfight with Gerrard? I hope you aren't because your credibility will go straight out of the window.

BOTH are doing their best according to their own agendas. Both have understandable viewpoints but Parry's is evidently the more noble at the end of the day.

The fact remains that Steven Gerrard never seems to be happy. Last season he said he wanted to stay at his boyhood club and wanted to se signes of the club moving in the right direction.

So RB came in along with some immpressive and proven wold class players (Alonso, Morientes)

But that wasnt obviously enough.
So LFC wins the Champions League and its still not enough for him. I mean how greed can a person be. Look at Jamie Carrager. I think hes on like £60,000 a week and i dont think ive ever heard him moan. I really do liek SG but if hes gonna keep thrownign th erattle around like a baby then get rid of him, its not like he wont be remembered.

Get back in your pram Steven !!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that I cant quite understand is what the suppoused bust up between Rafa and stevie could have been about. If Rafa wants him to stay as his press confrence confirms then I can only think of money or transfers. Rafa has said there are more signings to follow perhaps stevie does not think they are good enough to win the EPL. :O

Who gives a f@ck what he thinks, lets sell all the players send him out against teams on his own and then see how good he is,he should not critizise fellow team mates because without them he would not be a european champion.Everyone knows what a good player he is but there comes a point when you have to say enough is enough and that time is now. Thanks SG but its time to go.
