It would be nice to draw Everton for that last champions league spot and we beat them 4 - 0 at Anfield and then we beat them 5 - 0 at Goodison

K, i think even that is delusional. 5-1 at Goodison.

Somehow I don't think the supporters would be too impressed if Bent got up and said, "We're are gonna get creamed. We don't stand a bloody chance."

Altohugh true he needs to keep a stiff upper lip.

this will be a tough season for everton, the blue noses have a bit of expectation now and i dont think their brand of football (keeping a game tight and nick one at the end) will go down too well this season. they`ve sold a fair amount of season tickets as well. moyes will find out that the pressure at the top end in its own way can be worse than at the lower reaches of the table, granted you might fall out the division but you can also get away with a few bad results, at the top end two consecutive draws consitute a mini crisis. in effect you basically have to perform every week.
the evertonians will use the same old chesnuts like we`re not bothered and we`re just happy to be in the mix but the newly promoted sides say all that and their fans still boo and moan on phone in`s when the early season novelty wears off and results go wrong.

Yea, Bent cant just bend over and say "we are gonna get killed." He has to sound ridiculous so evertonians can think they have some hope, but in truth they dont stand a chance.
