Cired for days?

you need to get  a life!

Well at ten years old, Liverpool FC WAS MY LIFE, its not like I was gonna go down the pub and drown my sorrows or go raving was I  ???

Watching and playing football thats all I did at that age, apart from school obviously (where more footy was played)

Definitely that goal by Michael Thomas at Anfield, almost at the death of the game.

It can be argued that Liverpool FC started to crumble after that and we definitely lost our aura of invincibility although we did win the league one last time up to now, in the following season. We have never been quite the same.

True.Very true.

3-2 Chelsea.League Cup final 04-05.Otherwise,we could have more bragging rights.Of all times,Gerrard had to foul up.

I'm going to pick the 4-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in 2002 CL Quarter Final. We were 6 minutes from a Semi final clash against Man U and had the beating of them at that time and I'm confidant we would have made the final. It would be the defining pivotal moment of Gerrard houllier's career at LFC and the beginning of the end for him.

All the others deserve a mention too but this is a very painful thread to read through !!!!!! :O

Well i guess if you dont look it from  a football side of things. Winning the 1985 European Cup semi final and winning the quarter finals of 1989 FA cup were the two results which ultimately lost us the most  :(

I don't think any other result can come close to that 2-0 last second defeat to the gooners. I was 15 and heartbroken when that goal went in. My dislike for Arsenal and particularly George Graham was as strong then (and for a years after) as most lfc fans dislike for rab.c and the mancs is now.

More recently the loss against the mancs from 1-0 up to 2-1 down in the last few minutes of the game at Trafford early on in GH's reign REALLY hurt. I remember Ged promising 'we will beat them one day soon' after the game and he was right coz we went on that run of wins against them shortly after.

Not sure winning the 85 European Cup final would have been such a good thing. Winning that game did not matter one bit following the events that took place before hand.
